Abstract: A method and device for improving xerographic development of non-metallic photoreceptor imaging surfaces containing irregularities of 5 microns or larger by contacting and moving a smoothing and abrading means against the irregular surface in the presence of an interposed hydrodynamic hydrostatic fluid bearing.
