Abstract: An apparatus for protecting the exposed top portion of human arms, one or both, from the sun's rays. A two piece fabric, which may have a SPF of at least 15, covers at most the top half of the arm is supported by spaced first and second elastic bands or straps, one of which encircles the wrist area and the other at the forearm forward of the elbow, leaving the forearm beneath the fabric to receive the free flow of cooling air around and under the flexible fabric portion. The two pieces are connected by adjustable hook and loop to allow for length adjustment. A swivel connection member between that portion of the piece adjacent the elbow and the second strap prevents curling or strain on the fabric when the forearm is bent about the elbow. One embodiment includes a single piece fabric with the swivel connection described.
Abstract: A direct vent fireplace includes a heat deflecting baffle comprised of a base member attached to the front top edge of the fireplace and an extension member telescopically attached to the base member. Each end of the extension member includes a vertical flange with a track. The base member includes a vertical flange which is received in the track along with a catch means to permit selective movement of the extension member from a retracted position to a fully extended position or to positions there between.
Abstract: A connected and relatively pivotal two piece angular measuring device that will provide information and/or direct data or indicia to be used in setting mitre saw cutting angles for accurate placement of trim, molding, shelves, and the like.
Abstract: A gun barrel cleaning shell uses a pressurized cartridge alone or within a shell casing to propel cleaning material through the bore of the firearm. Inside the cartridge is a strike pin that when the firing pin of the firearm is actuated will cause the strike pin to puncture a rupturable end of the cartridge to release the compressed fluids therein to force the cleaning material toward and through the barrel of the firearm.
Abstract: A stainless steel cabinet has a carbon steel kettle for popping corn which includes apparatus to maintain the popping corn within the kettle during the cooking stage and to prevent spilling of popped corn as it is being dumped into a receiver. This is accomplished with a horizontally pivotal lid over the kettle during the cooking stage. A D-shaped receiver substantially retains the popped corn as it is dumped. There is an un-popped corn catcher below the receiver. A hand operated releaseable latch connects the kettle during the cooking stage and disconnects for the dumping stage. Fluid actuated piston/cylinders normally bias the kettle into the dumping stage when the latch is released.
