  • Patent number: 3975582
Abstract: A probe for use in a fluid level sensing system has an electrode and an insulating body located between the ends of the electrode. The insulating body is in the form of a hollow, tubular shell and includes electrode carrying parts ad resilient fluid container wall engaging parts. The electrode and container wall engaging parts are spaced along the longitudinal axis of the electrode so that, when the probe is mounted in its operative position in an opening in a fluid container, the container wall engaging parts resiliently engage the container wall parts which bound the opening, and the electrode is supported by the shell at a position within the container and spaced from the container wall.

  • Patent number: 3964007
Abstract: A relay structure for direct current automotive use in which the armature member moves slidably and noiselessly to place a movable contact in engagement with a pair of spaced, fixed electrical contacts. The armature includes a movable core, a contact and an insulate bar. The fixed contact engaging surfaces of the insulate bar and the contact are located in a common plane. The stationary core of the relay surrounds the movable core and the relay winding, the latter being located between the movable core and the stationary core.

  • Patent number: 3952476
Abstract: A beading clip for attachment to a headed stud projecting from a supporting surface which will, when attached to the stud, clamp a beading against the supporting surface. The clip comprises an arched body portion with a slot extending into one side to permit passage of the shank of the headed stud. A leg extends parallel to the slot and is spaced from the body portion. Abutment means are carried on opposite sides of the body portion. In use the legs engage the supporting surface so that the leg and the body portion are compressed between the supporting surface and the head of the stud. The abutment means clamp the edges of the beading to the supporting surface.

  • Patent number: 3950067
Abstract: An electrical connector arrangement for connecting selected wires of an automobile wiring harness to selected conducting paths of a flexible circuitry member which extends along the rear of the automobile instrument housing. The connector arrangement includes (a) a tongue projecting from the housing and over which the flexible circuitry member is folded and located, and (b) a socket which is arranged to be slid over and thereby trap the flexible circuitry member folded over the tongue, the socket being retained in its operative position by releasable inter-engaging catch members, and having electrical contact members which are connected with selected harness wires and which electrically contact outwardly-facing bare parts of the selected conducting paths.

  • Patent number: 3944107
Abstract: A plug or closure for closing and substantially sealing an aperture in a vehicle body panel. The plug comprises a plate portion and a resilient spring element carrying a plurality of resilient snap-engaging legs. The plate portion and the spring are separate and can be formed from different materials. The plate portion has an undersurface and one or more bosses in the undersurface defining a plurality of side walls. The spring has a body integral with the legs defining a plurality of edges and the spring is attached to the plate by forcing the body of the spring between or over the bosses or boss respectively so that the edges of the body of the spring frictionally engage the side walls of the boss or bosses. The plug may be provided with a ring of sealing material on the periphery of the undersurface of the plate.

  • Patent number: 3942226
Abstract: A clip for mounting a disc in an aperture in a panel. The clip has a tubular body portion which can be inserted in the aperture in the panel. Projections on the body portion limit insertion of the clip through the aperture while additional projections spaced from the first mentioned projections are adapted to engage the panel and retain the clip in position. The disc is retained within the body portion of the clip.
