Abstract: The present invention relates to an aqueous gelled cleaning composition which is useful for the removal of grease or tar without any mechanical action. In particular, the instant compositions are derived from three liquid phases which merge together at the tricritical point to form one continuum forming the gelled aqueous cleaning composition, wherein the three phases incorporate at least a polar solvent, a non-polar solvent or weakly polar solvent and a water soluble or water low molecular weight water dispersible amphiphile and the composition contains a noncrosslinked polymer.

Abstract: A microemulsion light duty liquid detergent with desirable cleansing properties and mildness to the human skin comprising four essential surfactants: a water soluble nonionic surfactant, a C.sub.8-18 ethoxylated alkyl ether sulfate anionic surfactant, a C.sub.10-20 paraffin sodium sulfonate surfactant, and a betaine surfactant.

Abstract: An aqueous liquid detergent composition for handwashing soiled dishware includes specific narrow classes and amounts of magnesium or sodium alkyl benzene sulfonate surfactant, alkyl ether sulfate surfactant, C.sub.12 -C.sub.16 alkyl polyglucoside and alkanolamide foam stabilizer. A higher alkyl sulfosuccinate or sulfosuccinate, optionally ethoxylated, anionic surfactant may also be present. The compositions are capable of generating a stable foam and are effective in cleaning greasy soils with acceptable mildness for the consumer and with good rinseability.
