    Abstract: An injection-molded load line connection spillage container for catching and retaining liquid spilled when liquids are pumped between storage tanks and tankers provides an injection-molded reservoir and an injection-molded cover attached to the reservoir by hinges. Reinforcing ribs molded into the reservoir provide strength and ruggedness without the need for reinforcing steel collars and saddles. Gussets molded into the reservoir hinge brackets ensure repeated stresses produced by energetic opening of the cover does not result in failure of the hinge brackets. An optional load line mounting assembly permits secure mounting of the load line container directly onto the load line. An optional cleanout assembly provides a valved suction line for removing retained spillage, and an optional sampling assembly provides a valved sample line for sampling the liquid being transferred.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a method and apparatus for using hot gas to defrost sequentially each refrigerated display case (evaporator) in a group of refrigerated display cases (evaporators). A unique cross-feed line connects the distributor and the evaporator suction line for each evaporator in the group of evaporators. Like a typical hot gas defrost system, the sequential hot gas defrost system may be time-initiated and time-terminated or time-initiated and temperature-terminated. Each evaporator in the group of evaporators is defrosted in turn while the remaining evaporators in the group continue to operate in the refrigeration mode. A unitary combination check valve and orifice simplifies the sequential hot gas defrost refrigeration system.

The rear rigid panel has a tailgate locking lip flaring downwardly and outwardly to prevent the tailgate from opening. In the fully covering position, the pickup bed cover provides a water-resistant, locked cargo area. In the partially covering position, the rear rigid panel and, optionally, the intermediate rigid panel fold forward to permit access to the cargo bed.

The sensor responds to the magnetic field of the external magnet, but only when the external magnet and the catheter magnet are magnetically coupled sufficiently to create a traction force so that the catheter distal end portion can be manipulated by movement of the external magnet.Apparatus for creating a magnetic guidance path for a remote device includes a follower magnet and a sensor, both of which are attached to the remote device, and a leader magnet.

    Abstract: A hand-held flossing tool provides a housing member having a spool housing integral therewith containing a replaceable spool of dental floss, a tension head consisting of two tension arms integrally molded to a yoke, each tension arm including a snap eye on one end and a gripping surface at the other end, and a stabilizer rotatably attached to the housing member. The dental floss strand, which passes from the housing through a spool housing slit and then through the snap eyes on the tension arms, is secured around a cleat on one of the tensions arms. The flosser places the stabilizer in the flosser's palm and holds the tension arm gripping surfaces between the flosser's thumb and index finger. The floss spool ratchets within the spool housing to permit adjustment of the tension on the strand of dental floss by rotation of a tension adjustment key extending through the bottom of the housing into the spool.

    Abstract: A surface mountable reed switch, which is particularly useful for implantable devices such as pacemakers, defibrillators, drug pumps and neurostimulators. The switch includes reed contacts hermetically sealed within a tubular glass envelop, wherein the reed contacts extend through ends of the envelop to provide external contacts. A trilobular cross section mounting bar is attached to each external contact such that the reed switch can be mounted on a mounting surface such as a ceramic substrate or the like. A protective housing contains the reed switch while the attached trilobular bars extend from a side of the housing to allow communication between the switch and the mounting surface. Further, a testing apparatus is provided for evaluating how the housed reed switch will perform when installed in the implantable device and subjected to stray (must not operate) as well as designated (must operate) magnetic fields.

The fluorescent light fixture is removed and a louver frame containing first and second louver assemblies stacked within the louver frame is inserted in place of the lens. The louver assemblies are oriented so that the louver vanes of the first louver assembly are at a right angle with respect to the louver vanes of the second louver assembly. Adjusting means for adjusting the movable vanes of the first and second louver assemblies between a relatively open position and a relatively closed position permit control of light emitted by the fluorescent light fixture.

A lid is cooperatively received on the container to close the open top end of the container when the unloading line is removed from the apparatus. With the unloading line removed from the container and the lid closed, an extension member attached to the lid covers the sidewall opening that is used for receiving the unloading line within the container.

    Abstract: A cylinder head bolt plug replaces longer cylinder head bolts and provides increased air flow to the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, reduced exhaust back pressure, and reduced frequency of cracked cylinder heads. Longer cylinder head bolts are replaced by a cylinder head bolt plug and shorter inner-fitting cylinder head bolts to permit reshaping and recontouring of the interior walls of air inlets and exhaust gas outlets. The shorter inner-fitting cylinder head bolts also reduce flexing and cracking of cylinder heads caused by tightening of standard longer cylinder head bolts. Method and apparatus permit modification of existing cylinder heads according to the invention.
