  • Patent number: 6156917
Abstract: A magnesium amide for use as a magnesium donor not having any Mg--C bonds. The compound is useful for doping GaN with Mg.sup.+2. The compound of the present invention is a high molecular weight dimer, preferably a diamide containing one or more silicon substituent groups. Alternatively, the compounds of the present invention may contain amino nitrogens weakly bonded to Mg. The compounds must have sufficient volatility to be useful in chemical vapor deposition.

  • Patent number: 6136768
Abstract: A water-dispersible effervescent drain cleaner having a composition of approximately 20-60% by weight of a mixture of metal hydroxides, 20-40% hypochlorite generator, and 10-40% effervescent materials. Lubricant, colors and fragrances may also be present. The components of this mixture are compressed into tablet, pellet, granules, or high density powder forms. The particles are of sufficient density to drop through water to the point of a clog. The effervescent materials work to break up the tablets or pellets and to agitate the mixture. The hypochlorite generator, in conjunction with the hydroxides reacts to dissolve hair. The hydroxide and hypochlorite generate heat, which will dissolve grease and soap clogs and accelerate the dissolution of hair.

  • Patent number: 6095132
Abstract: A gas burner for a smoker grill includes a venturi tube having an inlet adapted and arranged for receiving a flow of gas from a gas supply, a burner end adapted and arranged for placement within the interior of a grill casing, a burner end having a burner outlet, at least one air inlet arranged through said venturi tube and located adjacent said inlet, and an ash guard at least partially encasing the burner end. The ash guard incorporates metal screen disposed across the burner outlet and a metal housing at least partially surrounding the burner outlet to prevent ashes formed in the smoker from extinguishing the burner flame. Spider guards formed of metal screen material are also provided at the air inlet.
