Abstract: A windshield roller assembly that may be retrofitted to existing wiper arms and that provides a rolling surface so that it is able to conform to surface irregularities and expel dirt and debris from low spots. The rolling surface avoids scraping the windshield glass and is not subject to the shear forces incurred by scraper type blades. The windshield roller is generally a simple cylindrical shape about a flexible shaft such as carbon fiber rod. The geometry of the roller is most typically an elongated frusto-conical shape so as to trace an arced path.
Abstract: A nock for promoting a natural spin on an arrow shaft prior to the nock separating from a bowstring includes a nock segment possessing a bowstring rest portion, and a base portion which is coupled to a retaining portion which is attached to the end of an arrow shaft. The nock segment freewheels independently of the retainer and the arrow shaft to permit the fletching moving through the air to act on the shaft producing a natural spin to the shaft prior to its release from the bow.
Abstract: A system for changing the acoustical characteristics of a musical membranophone having a vibrating membrane or a stringed musical instrument having a sound box includes an overlay including indicia dividing a surface of the vibrating membrane or sound box into discrete zones enabling a user to position magnetic members to obtain predictable effects based on experimentation or a guide such as a diagram illustrating the position of magnetic members on the overlay, a first rare earth magnetic member is adapted to be disposed on a first side of the membrane or sound box, a second rare earth magnetic member is disposed on an opposed side of the membrane or sound box such that the first and second magnetic members are magnetically engaged on opposed sides of the membrane or sound box wherein the mass of the first and second magnetic member is sufficient to change the acoustical characteristics of the instrument.
Abstract: An enhanced lighting device having a means providing for the affixing to most conventional eyeglass frames. The unobtrusive lighting device generally comprises an enclosure having a cavity for the containment of a light emitting diode, a powering means and a sliding tensionable clamp for attaching the enclosure to for example, the bridge of a pair of conventional eyeglasses. Additionally, a pair of support posts provides an alignment means whereby the direction of the light is perpendicular to that of the eyeglass frame. A presentation plate is attachable to the front of the device, and may be decorated to provide a fashionable look.

Abstract: A device for securing identification to a mounting surface includes an elongated mounting device having a front surface and a rear surface and at least one opening between the surfaces wherein an identification means may be inserted or removed and an adhesive applied to the rear surface of tile mounting device for adhering the mounting device to the mounting surface where the opening is a sleeve formed by a laminate of plastic film adhering to a predetermined pattern of applied adhesive to a rear surface. The device may be economically created in multiples using adhesive label stock in either roll or sheet form.
Abstract: An ornamental enclosure for the display of a decorative pin. The ornament may be hung or stood on a flat surface. The enclosure has an opening in the front for viewing the interior which is a cavity for the reception of a puncturable, resilient and removable insert with a central portion made of a material for the piercing through of the post(s) portion of a decorative pin and defining a mounting surface for a decorative pin. The removable insert is placed in the enclosure producing a background for the decorative pin. Once inside the enclosure, the resilient insert assumes a shape conforming to a portion of the interior of the enclosure.
Abstract: A draping system designed for the treatment of a horse tail or mane having drapes shaped to expose a horse tail and a horse mane, while protecting underlying and adjacent areas of the horse's coat from unwanted treatment solutions. The draping system is especially useful in cosmetic treatments of the horse tail or mane, as for example when applying coloring or permanent treatments or when applying a medicament in liquid or powder form.
Abstract: A pillow for side-sleeping providing support of the shoulder and lumbar regions and thereby increasing comfort, where the pillow is constructed of tiers of foam, with each foam layer laminated to an adjacent foam layer and where the foam layers vary in thickness and density producing compression zones. The pillow has a raised area that is placed under the axilla, while the remaining portion of the pillow is placed under the upper ribcage. The pillow may be used as a therapeutic adjunct to a conventional fiber-filled pillow placed under the head and neck, or as a therapeutic adjunct to a specialty pillow, such as a cervical pillow.
Abstract: A non-toxic water erodible denture adhesive incorporating a starch portion and a polysaccharide portion whereby a elastomeric paste of excellent bioadhesiveness and adhesion to smooth surfaces is obtained; and which is found to have excellent thin film forming properties and is water erodible facilitating easy removal from denture recesses as well as the intraoral cavity.
Abstract: An easily laundered one piece sofa protector and bedding substitute for couches and sofas having a fitted sheet type element conjoined to a flat sheet in such a way to stay in place while the sofa occupant sleeps. Alternately, the flat sheet may be pulled away from the fitted sheet and laid against the back sofa cushions to protect them from soiling. Additionally, a sewn in pouch for the temporary retention of a typical throw pillow is provided so that the throw pillow may be used as a sleeping pillow without soiling the surface of the throw pillow.
Abstract: An un-automated lift assist for the physically challenged whereby a user may push against a pair of armrests causing a portion of the armrest to initially compress, and later rebound when the individual is transitioning from a seated to an upright position. The lift assist has two upright side members with armrests and a base member with a support panel that are placed between a removable cushion of a article of furniture and the support frame of the article of furniture, so that the in-situ cushion is between a seated individual and the base member.
Abstract: A linear clock that contains a main body, twelve one hour indicators located on the main body, eleven five minute indicators interposed between the twelve one hour indicators, and four one minute indicators evenly spaced on the main body such that each indicator may be activated at an appropriate time to accurately represent the time.
Abstract: A rectangular banner display assembly for the rapid installation and replacement of ad banners having a frame with two horizontal members both of which are built of extruded segments with channels along which a pre-rolled banner is slid into position during installation. The frame includes a member supportive of a spindle over which the pre-rolled banner is placed and from which the banner is drawn longitudinally. A vertical end-cap with a hinge-able flap partially occludes the member supportive of a spindle while in a closed position, but is opened to access the spindle. A second vertical end cap with a hinge-able flap is opened to expel a banner to be replaced. A method of quickly replacing a previously installed ad banner with a new ad banner by taping the leading end of a new banner with the trailing end of previously installed banner is disclosed. While expelling the previously installed ad banner out the end of the banner display assembly, the new ad banner is drawn along to take its place.
Abstract: An improved duster for venetian blinds and plantation shutters is disclosed including a handle and cross member with a number of rigid repositionable pins about which a dusting finger freely rotates when drawn lengthwise between the slats of blinds. The process of rotating prevents the bunching of dust unevenly on the dusting finger and provides for a greater removal of dust from the blinds, the dust being evenly distributed about the dusting finger. The dusting fingers may be treated with an anti-static compound to ease intermittent clearing of the dusting finger of dust.
Abstract: A one piece maternity support for the relief of discomfort associated with the progressive changes in the human body associated with a normal pregnancy. The support has a body encircling upper band for the support of the lower uterine segment and a lower belt having a pair of tensionable arms that connect to the upper band to support the lumbar region and offer counter rotational force for the anteriorly tilted pelvis. The position of the lower arms is optimized to apply a constant pressure to the muscles above the hip joint providing relief from so-called hip pain associated with many pregnancies.
Abstract: A device for applying a lotion or fluid medicament to those areas of the human body difficult to access having a cable of adsorbent material spooled about an axle inside a fluid filled container with an annular orifice, and where the cable is pulled through the orifice carrying with it a measured amount of lotion for deposition and spreading upon the body. The axle is actuated by a dial extending above the surface of the fluid filled container whereby the user can rewind the cable by turning the dial.
