  • Patent number: 8057185
Abstract: A forward swept centrifugal fan wheel comprising a first endring (10), a second endring (11), a plurality of blades (12) connected between the first endring and the second endring, each blade having a substantially continuous arcuate form extending along an axis parallel to an axis of rotation (A-A), and each blade having a substantially continuous arcuate cross-section taken with respect to a plane which extends normally from the axis of rotation (A-A).

  • Patent number: 8057337
Abstract: A debris ejecting sprocket comprising a body (100), a plurality of teeth (101) projecting from the body, a plurality of grooves (102) in alternating arrangement with the teeth, each groove receives a belt tooth, a cavity (103) disposed radially inward from each groove and communicating with the groove, the cavity further comprises a land (111) for supporting the belt, the land disposed between the groove and the cavity, and the cavity comprising a surface (104) disposed at an angle (?) with respect to an axial direction (A-A).

  • Patent number: 7857720
Abstract: A synchronous belt drive system comprising an obround sprocket (10) having a toothed surface and at least one linear portion (16) disposed between two arcuate portions (14,15), the arcuate portions having a constant radius (R1, R2), the linear portion having a predetermined length, a second sprocket (300) having a toothed surface, the second sprocket engaged to the obround sprocket by an endless toothed member (200), the second sprocket connected to a rotary load, the rotary load having cyclic torque fluctuations, and a radius (R1) of the obround sprocket (10) oriented at a belt entry point (201) which coincides with a maximum amplitude of a cyclic torque fluctuation such that a span length (SL) of the endless toothed member is made to vary in a manner that substantially cancels the cyclic torque fluctuations.

  • Patent number: 7860667
Abstract: A gas measurement system comprising a probe (10), the probe (10) comprises a sensor circuit comprising a thermal dispersion sensor (23) and a reference thermistor (24), the thermal dispersion sensor and the reference thermistor are disposed within a shroud (20), the shroud partially enclosing the thermal dispersion sensor and the reference thermistor such that a gas flow through the shroud is substantially representative of the gas flow through a gas duct, the probe further comprises an elongate member (27) having an aerodynamic form, the shroud is mounted to the elongate member, the elongate member mountable within the gas duct, and a microprocessor for receiving a signal from the thermal dispersion sensor and the reference thermistor, the microprocessor calculating and displaying a gas velocity and gas temperature.

  • Patent number: 7487656
Abstract: A method of spinning multiple parts comprising attaching two blanks to an intermediate mandrel, loading the intermediate mandrel and blanks into the spinning machine by clamping the intermediate mandrel and the blanks between the spinning machine tailstock and the headstock, moving rollers simultaneously radially inward and outward to execute metal forming on each blank to form a part from each blank, ejecting the intermediate mandrel, and ejecting each part substantially simultaneously from the intermediate mandrel.

  • Patent number: 6902155
Abstract: A side load compensating air spring piston having an elliptical cross-section. The side load compensating air spring comprises an air spring sleeve forming a chamber and having a rolling lobe. One end of the sleeve is attached to a tilted end cap for side load compensation. The other end of the sleeve has a rolling lobe engaged with a piston elliptical outer surface. The piston elliptical outer surface is disposed at a 90° angle to an elliptical stress distribution in the sleeve, thereby rendering the stress distribution uniform in the sleeve rolling lobe portion as it rolls on the piston.
