Abstract: A conductive cover or shield for reducing crosstalk between a plurality of connectors arranged adjacent one another. A cover having a non-conductive interior surface and a conductive outer surface. The non-conductive surface is adhered to the exterior surface of a connector or a plurality of IDC towers for preventing crosstalk between adjacent connectors. Also, the cover can be form fitted and secured to the connectors, specifically, adhering to the corners to insulate any loose wires.

Abstract: A universal clamp assembly for receiving an electrical conductor having a variety of diameters without exchanging parts. An insulator includes a support fitting thereon. The clamp assembly includes a keeper fixed to an end of the fitting with two guide arms disposed along two sides thereof. An internally threaded bore in the keeper has a longitudinal axis. An externally threaded bolt is threadedly received in the bore. The assembly also includes a clamp member relatively rotatably receiving and axially restraining the bolt and located adjacent to the keeper for translational movement of the clamp member relative to the keeper along the longitudinal axis of the bolt. The clamp member includes two axially extending sliding arms adjacent the two guide arms. Rotation of the bolt along the longitudinal axis moves the clamp member towards and away from the keeper.

Abstract: A cutout cover includes an arcuate top portion covering an insulator having a closed top and an open bottom with a slit extending therebetween. A midsection can connect the top portion to an open end adapted to access the cutout. The top portion is bell-shaped with an upper and lower dome, two opposing sides, and a slit between the sides. A fastener mechanism is attached to the two opposing sides with an aperture disposed on each of the sides for receiving a fastener.
Abstract: A lighting unit adapted to be mounted to a vertical member, preferably a pole for use at a checkout counter in a retail service location. The lighting unit includes a substantially polygonal housing secured to the pole. The housing typically includes at least three sides, a top, and a base; the top may have slots to promote ventilation. An opening is formed in the first side of the housing and defines a receiving location for the pole, situated between the top and base of the housing. A clamp plate is releasably engageable with the first side of the housing spans the opening adjacent to the pole, and releasably engages the pole to provide for easy vertical adjustment of the housing relative to the pole. Each flange can advantageously include at least one set of teeth for enhancing the gripping strength of the clamp plates and penetrating the vertical member.
Abstract: A corrosion resistant automatic splice having a housing with opposed first and second ends, an interior cavity between the ends, and a plurality of drainage openings disposed between an exterior surface of the housing and the interior cavity. The first and second ends are each adjacent a biasing member or spring. A semi frustoconical gripping jaw or clamp is located at each of the first and second ends adapted for receiving a cable. The drainage openings aid in voiding corrosive contaminants from the interior cavity of the splice.

Abstract: An electrical receptacle includes a housing having a cover or face member coupled to a base, and a mounting bridge extending around and contacting the bottom and the two opposite ends of the base. Each of the end-contacting portions of the mounting bridge has at least one base tab that projects inwardly into engagement with the end of the base, and at least one face tab, preferably barbed, that projects upwardly into the face member. During assembly, the base tabs preferably are bent over an upper edge of the base to firmly clamp the mounting bridge to the base. A line contact assembly extending along each side of the base has at least one line contact tab that projects upwardly into the face member. Mating snap-fit connectors afford additional robustness to the assembly.

Abstract: An integrated insulator sealing and shielding assembly includes a rubber housing having a plurality of radial weathersheds and a tapered end adjacent an endmost radial weathershed. A metal fitting is disposed adjacent to the endmost radial weathershed and receives the tapered end. A collar assembly is disposed at an upper end of the metal fitting and includes two apertures between an outer surface thereof and the rubber housing for receiving a sealant. At least one sealing surface, preferably four, is disposed between the collar assembly and a bottom end of the rubber housing for securing the connection therebetween.

Abstract: A compliant cap for inserting into an aperture of an electrical connector. The cap includes two halves connected by a living hinge. The two radial members in the two halves each extend perpendicular to the living hinge with the second radial member being longer than the first. One of the halves includes a plurality of chamfers, and the other half includes an outer rim surrounding the chamfers such that when the cap is compressed, the rim envelops the chamfers decreasing the area of the cap. In a second embodiment, chamfers include extensions adjacent to the outer rim for wrapping around or extending over the rim and further enhancing the secure fit of the two halves.
