Abstract: A method of playing a video wagering game is disclosed. The method includes providing a set of tiles having a set of suited tiles, and at least one non-numerical tile. Each tile in the set is marked sequentially with a numerical value. Upon placing a wager, 3X+2 cards are dealt to the player, where X is an integer. Any cards which are dealt and which are non-numerical are set aside for scoring and replaced with another card. The player may optionally discard one tile at a time, which is replaced in turn with another randomly selected tile, up to a maximum allowable number of discarded tiles. If the resulting player hand is a preselected combination, the player wins a payout. If the player receives any non-numerical tiles during play of the game, the payout is enhanced.

Abstract: A method of playing electronic video numbers game is disclosed. The method includes the steps of a player placing a wager to participate in the game; the player selecting at least one subset of symbols to play from the original set of symbols; activating a random selection process for picking a second subset of winning symbols from the original set of symbols; and awarding the player a prize if a predefined number of symbols in the subset of symbols played matches the subset to winning symbols. The number of symbols in the subset to play is equal to the number of winning symbols. A video wagering device for playing the numbers game of the present invention is also disclosed.

Abstract: A method of scoring a video wagering game is disclosed. The method includes placing a wager to participate in a video wagering game, and playing a first segment of the game. The first segment is played until a set of predetermined conditions has been met. A payout value is assigned to a winning outcome of the first segment. When the predetermined conditions have been met, the player plays a second segment of the game. The outcome of the second segment determines a factor that is at least equal to one. The payout value assigned to the first segment is multiplied by the factor to determine the game payout.

Abstract: A method of configuring a reel-slot gaming device to randomly generate game outcome is disclosed. The method includes the steps of selecting a set of game symbols, assigning a probability of occurrence to each symbol, selecting a plurality of outcome templates, each template comprising X variables, selecting a probability of occurrence for each outcome template, assigning a subset of symbols from the set of game symbols to each template for defining the variables, defining payouts for selected outcomes, and configuring a reel-slot gaming device having X reels, which randomly selects a template, randomlu selects a symbol for each position in the template from the subset of game symbols assigned to the selected template, randomly fills at least a portion of the positions in the template and displays the outcome. A gaming device configured to randomly generate game outcomes is also disclosed.

A video output gaming device programmed to randomly select a template, randomly select symbols to define the variables and randomly display the selected symbols is also disclosed.

Abstract: An unloader valve for a high pressure pumping system is disclosed. The unloader valve diverts fluid back to the pump inlet when the discharge line is blocked, and directs flow to the pump outlet when the line is unblocked. The unloader valve includes a valve body with a central cavity, a bypass check valve which also functions as a pressure relief valve, a shuttle positioned in the central cavity and a discharge check valve. A spring in the bypass check valve holds the bypass check valve closed while the system is in the spray mode. The discharge check valve closes when the line is blocked, and the line pressure is trapped between the discharge check valve and the spray gun. When the gun is reactivated, the pressure trapped behind the discharge check valve moves the shuttle forward, which opens the bypass valve.

Abstract: A low profile positive displacement pump system is disclosed. The pump system includes a gasoline powered engine with a vertically disposed crank shaft. The system also includes a piston pump with at least one horizontally disposed piston, and a pump shaft assembly which mounts onto the crank shaft. A base includes a cavity configured for retaining the pump. The engine mounts directly onto the base, and fixes the orientation of the pump shaft assembly with respect to a driven end of each piston. The pump shaft assembly includes at least one eccentric camming surface for contacting a driven end of the piston and for causing each piston to complete one stroke per revolution of shaft rotation. The base comprises a main body including an upper surface, wherein the upper surface is suitable for mounting directly to a mounting flange of the gasoline powered engine.

Abstract: A hardware assembly for mounting a retractable ottoman on a seating unit frame below the front edge of an occupant support cushion. The assembly includes a frame bracket having a plate and an underlip, the frame and underlip each carrying a flange, the flanges are generally perpendicular to the plate and together carry a first pivot and a second pivot positioned below and rearward of the first pivot. The assembly also includes an ottoman bracket having a pair of pivots. A lazy tong linkage connects the brackets and locks in a horizontal extended position. The assembly may be optionally spring driven to facilitate deployment of an ottoman on the ottoman bracket.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a thermal relief valve that includes a main body with an inner annular surface that includes a shoulder proximal to one end of the main body. The relief valve also includes a spring that rests on the shoulder of the inner annular surface of the main body. The relief valve additionally includes a thermal actuator component with a cup section and a piston section attached to the cup section. The cup section is separated from the piston section by a shoulder. The shoulder rests upon the spring. The relief valve also includes an O-ring that rests upon the shoulder of the thermal actuator and a cap that rests upon an O-ring within the main body of the relief valve.

Abstract: An apparatus for Doppler interferometric imaging comprising a balanced fiber optic interferometer, a low coherence light source and an imaging guidewire is used for diagnosis of intravascular obstructions. The imaging guidewire, which is also used for placement of over-the-wire catheters, comprises a hollow elongated body, an optical fiber, a rotatable mirror at its distal end and a micromotor operable to sweep the sampling beam around the vessel. An optical length modulator in the reference arm of the interferometer provides ramp wise modulation of optical length and a Doppler frequency shift for the reference beam. The polarization diversity detection scheme and two envelope detectors tuned for the Doppler frequency, perform measurements of the intensities of the two linear polarizations of the retroreflected light.

Abstract: Thermally stable collagen gels formed by the addition of small amounts of neutralized slightly cross-linked polyacrylic acid. Thermally stable gels resulting from 0.3 to 4.0 percent by weight of collagen and 0.10 to 0.50 percent by weight of neutralized slightly cross-linked polyacrylic acid. The thermally stable gels are useful in wound care management. Further, synergistic effects are noted by the addition of 0.5 to 3.0 percent by weight of natural gums, particularly those containing glucuronic acid segments. Gelatin, a partially hydrolyzed collagen, behaves in a similar manner to collagen.

Abstract: A system for dependably supplying stacks of labels to a high speed labeling machine. The system includes four primary parts. A plurality of cartridges for carrying stacks of labels, each of the cartridges has a release mechanism at the lower end of the cartridge. A carousel for carrying the cartridges in a vertical orientation with release mechanism of the cartridges directed downward. An arcuate chute having a centerpoint of the arcuate pathway defined by the chute. The upper port of the chute is situated in the system to receive the release mechanism of the cartridges carried on the carousel. A retractable paddle carried on a first end of a lever arm, the lever arm having a pivot mount in common with the centerpoint of the arcuate chute, and a counterweight at a second end of the lever arm. The carousel includes a vertical movement to sequentially lower each of the cartridges into contact with the upper port of the chute and release any stack of labels therein onto the retractable paddle.
