Abstract: Stabilizing apparatus for stabilizing boats comprising a weighted concave body which is suspended from the boat and which is formed as a grid defining openings through the body and a flexible flap in the concavity of the body, the flap blocking the openings when the body rises in the water due to rolling of the boat so as to inhibit rolling and the flap moving away from the openings to permit the apparatus to rapidly fall as the boat rolls in the opposite direction. A pair of bodies are provided on opposite sides of the boat to inhibit rolling in both directions.
Abstract: Water is decomposed into hydrogen and oxygen gases by impressing alternate ones of a plurality of sheet electrodes a direct current of given polarity having low voltage and high amperage while simultaneously impressing on the cathode and anodes of a plurality of electrolytic cells, individually sandwiched between the sheet electrodes a high voltage and low amperage direct current, while the sheet electrodes and the electrolytic cells are all immersed in an aqueous electrolyte solution.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for automatically tagging selected layers of multi-layered articles by the operation of a single switch that initiates the sequential stepped operation of a clamp for holding the selected layers in a tagging position while a tag is fed and tacked, as by a bar tack, to join the tag to the selected layers. When the tagging sequence is completed, the article is removed from the apparatus, thereby separating the joined bar tack and tag from the apparatus for similar subsequent automatic repetitive operations.
Abstract: A mastectomy garment includes an underbra, a prosthetic breast pad, and an outerbra. The underbra has a supporting cup for the normal breast and a substantially flat band portion to fit to the chest of the removed breast, enabling a firm, flat-fitting garment over the remaining chest surface of the removed breast. The prosthesis or false breast pad is removably adhered to the outer surface of the flat, binding portion. The outerbra, such as a conventional off-the-shelf brassiere, that overlies and is secured to the underbra forming a composite unitary prosthetic brassiere with the prosthetic breast pad positioned therebetween and means for adjustment of the brassiere to the wearer and individual adjustment of the prosthetic breast pad.
Abstract: The papers in an office file folder are organized into subfiles by dividing the documents including papers and/or other things into predetermined sets. Each set is then secured to a header plate which is removably secured to an associated attachment plate. The attachment plate is itself secured to the file folder cover. The header plate is secured to the attachment by cooperable engaging and separable fastening means.
Abstract: A single scalpel having a universally adjustable blade mounted to the scalpel handle for selected positioning through an arc of at least 90.degree. with respect to the axis of the handle and through an arc of at least 360.degree. about the axis of the handle thereby enabling the single scalpel to be used at any required angle and position without changing blades or scalpels.
Abstract: A waterproof vinyl body bag or sleeve open to the air at both ends which is inserted inside a main vinyl waterbed having two apertures, of the same dimensions as the open ends of the body bag, on its top surface. The bag or sleeve is sealed at the edges of both open ends permanently to the top surface of the waterbed at the edges of its two apertures, thus creating a suspended free floating sleeve inside a waterbed, into which a person can climb and lie prone while remaining dry, surrounded by the water in the bed.
