Abstract: A cigarette lighter which has a safety locking device utilizing a spring biased latch. The cigarette lighter comprises a case, a top cover hingeably attached to an upper part of the case, a lighter seat, a press-down button, and the safety locking device. The latch is slidable mounted on top of the press-down button of the cigarette lighter. The latch is biased by an internal coil spring, which urges the latch to be engaged with the lighter seat, thereby preventing the press-down button from being pressed-down. When a user intends to use the cigarette lighter, the latch can be slid laterally against the spring force of the coil spring to disengage the latch from the lighter seat, thereby allowing the press-down button to be pressed down and ignite the cigarette lighter. Once the user releases the press-down button, it returns upwardly while the latch is biased back by the coil spring and automatically engages with the lighter seat again and thereby locks the press-down button.

Abstract: A self-wringing mop for removing liquid from the strands of a mop head which includes a handle member, a tubular wringing member disposed over a lowermost portion the handle member, a ratchet mechanism for longitudinal and rotational movement of the tubular wringing member, and the mop head attached to one end of the handle member just below the tubular wringing member. The tubular wringing member has a plurality of protruding ribs which are integrally formed with the interior surface. The longitudinal and rotational movement of the tubular wringing member allows the plurality of protruding ribs to engage the strands of the mop head to remove an amount of liquid from the mop head.
Abstract: A device for the treatment of human urinary incontinence with a catheter which can be inserted into the urethra and carries a balloon arrangement which can be filled with fluid to close off the urinary bladder and to hold the catheter in the lumen of the urethra. The fluid can be admitted to and discharged from this balloon arrangement via at least one closed channel running along the catheter wall which is closed off at the distal end of the catheter, and via a valve mounted at one proximal end section of the catheter in inserted condition. The length of the catheter is dimensioned such that its distal end in inserted condition lies within the urethra. A hydraulic actuating mechanism, also located in the lumen of the urinary bladder, is assigned to the self-closing valve.
Abstract: A mop holding apparatus requires the use of only one foot to operate the apparatus, and which is designed that a holding mechanism can be applied to hold loose ends of a mop head of a mop from turning when the mop is being wrung. The holding apparatus includes a bucket, a holding mechanism, and an operating mechanism. The holding mechanism is mounted on the top of the bucket. It includes a bottom plate, a first extending arm formed with the bottom plate and extending upwardly therefrom, and a second movable extending arm connected with the first extending arm at converging ends. Abstract: A glass washing and dishwashing machine including an improved oscillating spray mechanism, an improved tank valve/water diversion mechanism, and an improved water tank assembly, which are all incorporated into the glass washing and dishwashing machine. The oscillating spray mechanism directs a spray of wash water or rinse water at glasses, dishes or the like and oscillates the spray mechanism in order to more completely contact glasses or the like with wash water during a washing and rinsing operation. The tank valve mechanism selectively supplies wash water or rinse water from the tank assembly to the spray mechanism. The valve/water diversion mechanism is interconnected with two water reservoir chambers for delivering wash or rinse water to a washing station.
Abstract: An improved portable electrically powered leaf blower is disclosed that can provide levels of air flow and velocity comparable to those of gasoline-powered blowers, yet that generates substantially reduced noise, eliminates exhaust emissions and emissions from spilled fuel, and is lightweight and convenient to operate. The leaf blower incorporates a sound-insulated duct that encloses an electric motor and fan assembly, and a handle projects above the duct's inlet end. Electrical power is provided by a battery pack carried in a backpack worn by the operator. Positioning the primary noise sources within a duct that in use is positioned close to the ground minimizes noise levels both at the operator's ears and at a distance.

Abstract: A vehicle lift for use in conjunction with a vehicle to facilitate passengers boarding and leaving the vehicle. The vehicle lift has an improved driving mechanism for moving a platform between a stowed position to a deployed position. The driving mechanism includes a bidirectional motor which is mechanically coupled to a gear box which in turn is coupled to a pinion that is connected to a main sprocket. A longitudinal bracket is affixed to the underside of a top panel of the mounting enclosure and is located parallel to a longitudinal guide bar. At both ends of the longitudinal bracket are sprockets which are coupled by a loop chain. Accordingly, engaging the main sprocket with the loop chain moves the traveling assembly inward or outward with respect to the vehicle. The chain is immobilized by a manual spring biased locking mechanism to prevent the chain from moving linearly along the bracket.
