  • Patent number: 7691987
Abstract: The invention relates to a novel oocyst sporocyst protein (EtOs22) belonging to the parasite of the species Eimeria tenella and to the polynucleotide encoding this protein, to vectors which contain this polynucleotide, to cells which are transformed with these vectors, to antibodies which are directed against the protein, to vaccines which comprise the polynucleotide, the protein, or fragments thereof, the abovementioned vectors or antibodies directed against the protein, and to the use of polynucleotide or of polypeptide for finding active compounds for treating an infection with Eimeria and active compounds which are suitable for the therapy of an infection with Eimeria.

  • Patent number: 7645738
Abstract: The invention relates to cyclic depsipeptides, especially 18-membered cyclohexadepsipeptides of general formula (I) and the salts thereof, wherein R1 represents nitrobenzyl or R?R?N-benzyl—wherein R? and R? independently represent hydrogen, optionally substituted C1-C4-alkyl, formyl, C1-C4-alkoxy-C1-C4-alkyl, C1-C4-alkoxycarbonyl, or hydroxy-C1-C2-alkyl-sulfonyl-C1-C2-alkyl, or, together with the nitrogen atom to which they are bound, R? and R? form an optionally substituted monocyclic or polycyclic, optionally bridged and/or spirocyclic, saturated or unsaturated heterocycle containing between one and three other heteroatoms from the group of nitrogen, oxygen and sulphur, or R? and R? together form C3-C5-alkylene monocarbonyl or an optionally substituted diacyl radical of a C4-C6-dicarboxylic acid—and R2, R3 and R4 independently represent C1-C4-alkyl.

  • Patent number: 7384938
Abstract: The present invention relates to water-containing formulations for the dermal control of parasitic insects on animals, having the following composition a) agonists or antagonists of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptors of insects in a concentration of from 1 to 20% by weight based on the overall weight of the formulation; b) water in a concentration of from 2.5 to 15% by weight; c) solvents from the group alcohols such as benzyl alcohol, tetrahydrofuryl alcohol or optionally substituted pyrrolidones in a concentration of at least 20% by weight based on the overall weight of the formulation; d) solvents from the group of the cyclic carbonates or lactones in a concentration of from 5 to up to 50% by weight based on the overall weight of the formulation; e) if desired, further auxiliaries from the group thickeners, spreading agents, colorants, antioxidants, propellants, preservatives, adhesives, emulsifiers, in a concentration of from 0.025 up to 10% by weight based on the overall weight of the formulation.

  • Patent number: 7348027
Abstract: A method of producing a self-take anthelmintic that includes active components that are undesirable to at least one sense of a target animal. The active ingredients including praziquantel are mixed with artificial beef and yeast components and subjected to a first compression. The resulting rough tablet is then ground to increase the density of the material by approximately 100% of the original density. Thereafter, the material is subjected to a second compression to form a final self-take tablet.

  • Patent number: 7268248
Abstract: The present invention relates to 3-cyano-2,4,5-trifluorobenzoyl fluoride and to intermediates for its preparation and to the process for the preparation of 3-cyano-2,4,5-trifluoro-benzoyl fluoride, which starts from 5-fluoro-1,3-xylene (VIII); which is bichlorinated in the ring in the presence of a catalyst under ionic conditions to give 2,4-dichloro-5-fluoro-1,3-dimethylbenzene (VII). The latter is chlorinated in the side chains under free-radical conditions to give 2,4-dichloro-5-fluoro-3-dichloromethyl-1-trichloromethylbenzene (VI).
