Patent number: 7236951Abstract: There are provided new structural default models for modeling the likely default of publicly traded companies. In a first embodiment, the invention is straight-forward to implement and allows the capture of some important ingredients of the actual default, including positive short-term CDSs. In a second embodiment the model is somewhat more versatile and complex. Provided is a very efficient method for dealing with the timing of a default boundary, that is, jumps in the company's value, etc. Further provided is a process using Fast Fourier Transform matrix processing for processing the structural default models in a computationally efficient manner.Type: GrantFiled: March 8, 2004Date of Patent: June 26, 2007Assignee: Credit Suisse First Boston LLCInventors: Alexander Lipton, Jonathan Z. Patent number: 7234064Abstract: A network for mediating the peer-to-peer transfer of digital patient medical data includes a plurality of distributed agents each associated with a health care provider and connected to a central system. Periodically the agents collect local information relating to patient medical files and/or data streams, for example diagnostic images and associated reports, and process that information into metadata files acting as pointers to the original files. The metadata files are transmitted to the central system where they are parsed and the attributes are stored on the central system in patient records with records from the same patient grouped together whenever possible. Registered users can search the central system, even in the absence of a unique identifier, to identify patient records pointing to the remote patient medical files.Type: GrantFiled: August 16, 2002Date of Patent: June 19, 2007Assignee: HX Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Elliot D. Patent number: 7191143Abstract: A system to determine metrics based on preference information. The metrics may be presented to a client in several forms and may include at least one of: impact of change in attribute on change in share; impact of change in attribute on share; impact of change in attribute on change in normalized utility; willingness to pay; relation of price and share, given a change in an attribute; gap analysis; gap with competition; unacceptable attribute levels; vulnerability; clout; brand favorability; brand vulnerability; and change in margin due to acceptable change in comparison product.Type: GrantFiled: November 5, 2001Date of Patent: March 13, 2007Inventors: Sev K. Patent number: 7146239Abstract: There are provided methods and systems for manufacturing consumer products such as clothing. In accordance with the invention, customer measurements and preferences are collected by a unique, small-footprint or private custom clothing shop. These measurements and preferences are stored and used in association with the manufacturer of custom clothing. Ordered clothing is manufactured through the provision of patterns, instructions and materials to skilled, pre-qualified sewing associates. In one embodiment of the invention, the consumer products are “broken” into discrete, separately-manufacturable pieces, each piece for assembly by a separate, geographically remote, skilled labor with final assembly of the various pieces is performed at a centralized location. Customized clothing can thus be manufactured by a highly skilled, cost effective and geographically disperse labor force, using electronically stored data and electronic communications to both coordinate manufacturing and ensure high-quality results.Type: GrantFiled: February 18, 2005Date of Patent: December 5, 2006Assignee: Loeb Enterprises, LLCInventor: Michael R. Patent number: 7133847Abstract: A bartering system implements barters between a plurality of parties each having one or more classes of items available for barter. Preferably, barter orders are created by designating a selected quantity of a first class of items to be bartered, designating a date range for transferring title of the first class items to be bartered, designating a barter value of the first class of items to be bartered, and designating a second class of items to be acquired. Barter orders are posted via the Internet to a barter database and may be displayed via the Internet. Posted barter orders whose first class of items match the second class of items of a barterer's order are preferably displayed. Posted barter orders from the display are selected to effectuate a barter transaction which combines a barterer's barter order with the selected posted order(s).Type: GrantFiled: August 3, 2001Date of Patent: November 7, 2006Assignee: Barter SecuritiesInventor: Richard Himmelstein

Patent number: 7054869Abstract: A hierarchically arranged content assembly and distribution system includes global and local administrators, the global administrators having the authorization to establish the local administrators. Global administrators have the ability to establish global content, establish global subscriber lists and assemble content for distribution to the global subscribers. Local administrators have the ability to establish local content, establish local subscriber lists and to assemble content selected from both the global and local content for distribution to local subscribers. Each local administrator thus has the ability to utilize both local content as well as content provided by the hierarchy of other administrators in order to assemble content.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 2003Date of Patent: May 30, 2006Assignee: Insworld, Inc.Inventors: Edward Roemke, James Hodson
