  • Patent number: 7009561
Abstract: A radio frequency (RF) motion capture system includes stationary sensor receivers, one or more transmitter marker tags on one or more objects to be tracked within a capture zone, at least one stationary reference tag transmitter, and a processing system for processing the received signals. The individual tags transmit burst of spread-spectrum RF signals. The transmitted signals include a common sync code, and a tag identification code that is unique to each tag. By computing double differences of pseudoranges, clock terms are cancelled out allowing the processing system to precisely determine the location of each tag as it moves through the capture zone without the need to synchronize clocks between sensors and tags. The system can be used for RF match moving.

  • Patent number: 6991130
Abstract: A label sheet assembly is provided with bar code information thereon defining the layout of the labels on the backing sheet. A versatile label dispenser apparatus advances the label sheets and deflects them over a peeling bar in one direction to partially separate the labels from the backing sheet; with the advancing action being determined by the bar code information. The label sheet assemblies are then deflected in the opposite direction, and are routed in a substantially flat condition to the output of the dispenser apparatus. The labels are partially dispensed, substantially vertically from the dispenser, and a substantial number of sensors are provided to sense when all of the labels have been removed; and then the dispenser advances the label sheet assembly to partially dispense the next row of labels. The bar code reader may also sense the leading edge of the label sheet assembly to accurately control the incremental advancing of the label sheet assembly.

  • Patent number: 6902340
Abstract: In a binder such as a window binder having two opaque thermoplastic sheets sandwiching therebetween front and rear panels, a spine panel, and an outer clear panel forming a window over the spine panel and the front and rear panels, the spine has a depression or slot for receiving a spine label without substantial friction that would inhibit the insertion and removal of the spine label. The spine panel may either be sandwiched between the two opaque sheets, or it may be disposed on the outside of both of the opaque sheets, and the slot may be either open or closed at the side that faces the label printing. When disposed on the outside of the opaque sheets, the spine panel may be colored to provide a colored spine for an otherwise white or differently colored window binder.

  • Patent number: 6761498
Abstract: In a binder such as a window binder having two opaque thermoplastic sheets sandwiching therebetween front and rear panels and a spine panel and an outer clear thermoplastic panel forming a window over at least the spine, the outer surface of the spine panel has a depression formed in it such that the spine is thicker or otherwise raised near its vertical edges, and thinner or otherwise depressed between the raised portions. The opaque sheet covering the outward face of the spine panel is sufficiently flexible so as to deflect inwardly into the depression in the spine panel. The deflection of the thermoplastic sheet into the spine depression allows a spine label to be inserted into the pocket between the thermoplastic sheet with relatively little force.

  • Patent number: 6748025
Abstract: A wireless receiver receives a wireless signal by inverting the polarity of an incoming waveform on every one half clock cycle of a conversion clock to produce a commutated waveform and converting said commutated waveform to a series of representative digital values using a delta-sigma modulator clocked by said conversion clock. In this way, the receiver operates over a large dynamic range and the use of automatic gain control in the front end may be eliminated.

  • Patent number: 6668197
Abstract: A method of treatment using implantable devices is disclosed. he method comprises (a) implanting into the body of the human or non-human animal (i) a rectenna capable of receiving electromagnetic radiation in the microwave frequency range and of generating and/or storing electrical energy therefrom, and (ii) an electrically operated therapeutic device arranged to electrical energy from said rectenna; and (b) directing electromagnetic radiation in the microwave frequency range from a source external to the body being treated towards the position of the implanted rectenna so as to genera electrical energy to actuate said therapeutic device.

  • Patent number: 6557190
Abstract: A storable bed assembly primarily for recreational vehicles permits the lowering and raising of the bed using a pair of rear guides fixed to a wall of the recreational vehicle, and a pair of swing arm guides at the front corners of the bed frame. Linkages are provided to couple the corners of the bed frame to the guides. Counterbalancing springs in the form of compressed gas cylinders are provided to assist in raising the bed assembly to the stored position.
