  • Patent number: 6892402
Abstract: This invention provides an automatic elevator urinal which uses sensors. Currently male users'urinate in unisex toilet bowls or in stationary male urinals so there is many occurrences of urine spilling outside the urinal or toilet bowl resulting in bad odours and unhygienic conditions and use the same amount of water as with defecation. This invention provides a solution to these problems. It provides an urinal for men which calculates the appropriate height the urinal bowl should be for each different male user and adjusts the urinal bowl height so it will be a perfect match for each individual user. This will maximise ease of use and minimise urine spillage.

  • Patent number: 6832207
Abstract: A super-saturation method for information-media substantially relates to a three-body cooperation to direct information to an electronic media consumer (reader, surfer, viewer, listener, etc.). Embodiments of the present invention facilitate a first media body substantially offering out of context information placement using a second cooperating media body. A facilitator body preferably guarantees that a consumer of the second media is a known consumer of the first media. Accordingly, the second media body presents an out of context information placement. For example, an exclusive members-only Internet site “AAA” is oversubscribed with potential paying advertising content at $100 CPM. This exclusive site then offers unfulfilled advertisers an option to present their advertisements to certified “AAA” viewers, albeit on a non-AAA Internet site, for $50 CPM. The facilitator locates a certified AAA viewer at an Internet site “BBB” that normally charges $30 CPM.

  • Patent number: 6732874
Abstract: The present invention features a storage container having a lever-actuated rod and piston mechanism that extracts air from inside the interior chamber, thus creating a vacuum state. This vacuum state is desirable for the fresher storage of many air sensitive materials, including perishable food items and other goods. The opening to the chamber is sealed with an air-sealing cover in order to retain a state of vacuum in the chamber once the interior chamber has achieved a vacuum state.

  • Patent number: 6676011
Abstract: A packaging box includes a rectangularly configured box having an impact-resistant inner bag attached to a first side interior surface. The attached inner bag has an opening for inserting the article to be packaged. The inner bag is then closed about the article using tape elements. When properly closed the inner bag will be spaced from the box interior surface when the first side is facing up. An additional support for the inner bag includes tie members extending from the first side interior surface and about the closed inner bag, the tie members being joined into a twist knot, where further twisting tightens the tie members about the inner bag, thus supporting it generally and providing additional means for spacing the inner bag from the box interior surfaces when the first side is facing up.

  • Patent number: 6668429
Abstract: The invention is a deep-groove fastener which securely retains a seat cover within the groove of a deeply contoured seat bun. The fastener comprises an elongated body generally concave in cross section and having an interior cavity. A plurality of notched ridges are located on the surface of the interior cavity. The notched ridges serve as fastening elements for engaging loop or other material attached to the underside of a seat cover. Anchor elements are located on the exterior, non-cavity surface of the main body, to aid in anchoring the invention within a foam seat bun. The main body additionally comprises two flange-like sealing legs having a relatively flat bottom surface, to seal the sides of the invention against fouling during the seat bun molding process. Magnetically attractable particles are incorporated into the sealing legs, to hold the invention securely to a magnetized seat bun forming mold.

  • Patent number: 6644697
Abstract: The invention is an integrated shopping list and coupon folder, formed from a single shopping list sheet. Major food and non-food category listings are provided on the shopping list sheet, as well as blank lines for listing individual items, sizes, brands, and the like. Coupon reminders are also located proximate to each blank line. A bottom tacky strip is located across the bottom edge of the shopping list sheet, and two side tacky strips are located at opposing side edges of shopping list sheet. To convert the shopping list sheet into an integrated shopping list and coupon folder, the completed shopping list sheet is peeled from a pad of such sheets and folded along a central fold line, such that the bottom tacky strip seals against itself and the side tacky strips seal against each other. The integrated shopping list and coupon folder is thus formed.

  • Patent number: 6564407
Abstract: This invention is an inflatable or non-inflatable travel pillow that fits under the knees or lower thighs of the user, between those body areas and the cushion of a seat. The pillow elevates the user's lower thighs sufficiently to position the user's body back into the seat comfortably, and prevent the user from sliding down in the seat. A main body of the pillow has two thigh cradles located on its top surface. The thigh cradles are generally semicircular in shape, form depressions in the top surface of the main body, and are separated by a center rib formed by the proximate sides of the thigh cradles. In the inflatable embodiment, an air fill valve is located on the outer surface of the main body.

  • Patent number: 6468624
Abstract: The invention is a hook fastener strip (10), having magnetically attractable wires (13a,b,c,&d) which are located between, and retained by, hook members (11) on the front face of the fastener strip (10). Each hook member (11) is comprised of a shaft (14) and a split-mushroom-shaped head (15). The outer edges of head (15) protrude beyond the sides of shaft (14), and the undersides of the outer edges form ledges (16a&b) which serve to retain the magnetically attractable wires (13a,b,c,&d) within the hook layer of the fastener strip (10). The magnetically attractable wires (13a,b,c,&d) within the fastener strip allow it to be secured to a correspondingly magnetically attractive object.

  • Patent number: 6438913
Abstract: The invention is a glazing panel wall system having unique and advantageous glazing clips. The clips, several different embodiments of which are described, serve to hold the glazing panels and frame member face covers in place. The system comprises the various glazing clips; interconnected frame members, each frame member having recesses adapted for containing glazing panels and a channel adapted for engaging the clips; and face covers which are placed over the front face of the frame members. The invention thus provides a convenient, time-saving, and very effective way of constructing a glazing panel wall.

  • Patent number: 6439537
Abstract: The invention is a seat bun mold (10) with a recess (12) suitable for containing a fastener strip (18) to be molded into the seat bun, the recess (12) having an end wall (14) shaped so as to provide a snap-fit seal against the end of the fastener strip (18), in order to prevent fouling of the fastener strip (18) during the seat bun molding process. End wall (14) extends from the bottom to the top of the recess (12), and substantially curves inward along its lower extent and outward along its upper extent. The end of fastener strip (18) is snapped into recess (12) by first aligning fastener strip (18) over recess (12) and then exerting downward pressure. The tension of the end of fastener strip (18) against end wall (14) forms a seal to prevent intrusion of liquid molding material through end wall (14) of recess (12).

  • Patent number: 6405488
Abstract: A uniquely constructed window insulator (10) that effectively seals the gap (17) between the upper sash (15) and the lower sash (16) of a double-hung window against drafts and other thermal loss. The device has an elongated, tubular shape and a sash lock opening (11), located on its bottom surface and sized to accommodate the sash lock (18) of a double-hung window. A thermally insulating layer (13), constructed of open or closed-cell foam or any suitable insulating material, is surrounded by a decorative cover (12), and itself surrounds an inner core of particulate weighting material (14). When installed, the sash lock (18) on the window projects into the sash lock opening (11) of the device, allowing the device to lie completely flat against the top of the lower sash (16) and the front of the upper sash (15), thereby completely sealing the opening between the two sashes.
