  • Patent number: 4154679
Abstract: A divider plate having a strainer basket depending therefrom is positioned in a skimmer apparatus intermediate the skimming inlet and the lower end. A conduit passes through the basket and communicates with the drain inlet in the bottom of the skimmer which also includes an outlet from which water is drawn by the swimming pool pump. The conduit is aligned with a water passage in the divider plate. A coupling member affixed to the hose associated with vacuum cleaning equipment is passed through the water passage and engaged with the conduit. The coupling blocks water flow from the drain inlet and has an exit therethrough for movement of water from the hose to the outlet of the skimmer. Valve means are provided for selectively closing the water passage and for selectively retarding water flow from the drain inlet.

  • Patent number: 4144608
Abstract: A body has bottom, side and end elements which form a liquid containing vessel. Carried by the end elements, are a pair of opposed fixtures which support a bowling pin for horizontal axial alingnment. A flexible diaphram forms one wall of a fluid containing chamber carried by a cover member, which is hingedly affixed to the body. Extending over the diaphram is a scrubbing pad which is placed in juxtaposition with the bowling pin when the cover member is in the closed position. The scrubbing pad conforms to the contour of the rotating and wetted bowling pin in response to pressure of the fluid upon the diaphram.

  • Patent number: 4113120
Abstract: A trash container with a bustle and a bustle actuator is removeably carried on a vehicle with a tiltable chassis. The container has a generally box like configuration and a moveably trash compacting side pivotally connected to the container. The vehicle chassis has a pivotally mounted compactor arm adapted to cooperate with the pivotally moveable compacting side of the trash container such that the compactor arm alternately opens and closes the moveable side of the container for compacting trash therein. A ledge structure on the vehicle chassis supports the pivotal axis of the moveable side of the container in co-axial alignment with the pivotal axis of the compactor arm. The container is moved on and off of the chassis by tilting the chassis and connecting the compactor arm to the container by a chain. A crusher is pivotally mounted on the trash container to force trash downwardly into the container. Inclined racks are provided for supporting the containers when they are not on a vehicle.
