  • Patent number: 6497719
Abstract: A hand-held laser device that stimulates hair growth. The device provides distributed laser light to the scalp while simultaneously parting the user's hair to ensure that the laser light contacts the user's scalp. A unique beam splitting reflector splits a single laser beam to ensure that energy from the laser beam is evenly distributed. The reflector is mechanically aligned with the laser source and has a zigzag structure which mechanically deflects portions of the beam as it passes over the peaks of the reflector. The portions of the laser beam form a line of laser beams that project toward the user's scalp. Parallel rows of teeth are aligned with a central row of individual laser beams and part the user's hair to form furrows in the user's hair as the device is combed through the user's hair. The furrows create an unobstructed path for the laser beam to reach the scalp of the user.

  • Patent number: 6421838
Abstract: An integral elastic strap for head wear. The elastic strap is attached to the rear of the head wear. The integral strap is positioned at the rear of the head wear such that when the hair is pulled back, the elastic strap is stretched and twisted around the hair to secure the hair in the form of a pony tail. The head wear can be one of a variety of head wear, such as a conventional hat, a baseball cap, etc. When used in conjunction with head wear that is adjustable in size, such as a baseball cap, the elastic strap also holds the edge of the cap snugly against the wearer's head when the wearer's hair is not being secured, thereby eliminating the need for a conventional securing strap.

  • Patent number: 6390884
Abstract: A breast cleavage enhancement device which is selectably attached to the rim of a brassiere at multiple locations. Depending on the point of attachment to the brassiere, the brassiere cups are rotated in a clockwise or counter clockwise direction to control the position, cleavage, and separation of the breasts. The adjustable clip is attached to the brassiere at various user selectable locations between the brassiere cups. Placement of the adjustable clip above or below the center point applies rotational pressure to the brassiere cups, which will move the breasts closer together if rotated in one direction, and will move the breasts apart if rotated in the other direction. The adjustable clip can be implemented by a clip that attaches to a conventional brassiere, or by integral hook and loop strips, buttons, string ties, or other suitable devices.

  • Patent number: 6283394
Abstract: An automatic gravity controlled fishing line brake which is automatically activated when the fishing line goes slack. The fishing line is fed through an opening in an arm of the brake assembly. When the line is taught, such as when it is being cast or when a fish strikes, the tension on the line is used to elevate the arm and disengage the brake. When the fishing line tension is relieved, such as when the line hits the water or when a fish changes direction, gravity automatically lowers the arm and engages the brake on the fishing reel line spool. The brake pads prevent the fishing line spool from rotating and thus prevent the unraveling of fishing line.

  • Patent number: 6206623
Abstract: A bulkhead for use with cargo containers that carry dry flowable cargo. The bulkhead has flaps on the bottom edge and on both side edges. When the bulkhead is installed in a container, the flap on the bottom folds against the floor of the container to form a seal. The side flaps also fold against the sides of the container to form seals. The seals prevent the dry flowable cargo, when loaded in the container, from leaking out of the container. This eliminates the need for a liner in the container to hold the cargo.

  • Patent number: 6186241
Abstract: A deep fryer with an automatic fire extinguishing system. The oil storage tank is attached to the oil reservoir of the deep fat fryer. A drain valve controls drainage of oil in the deep fryer oil reservoir to the oil storage tank. A fire sensing device is attached to, and controls, the drain valve and opens the drain valve when a fire is detected. The oil storage tank smothers any fire from oil inside it by preventing sufficient air flow to keep the fire burning. Any remaining oil which has not drained the into the oil storage tank quickly burns out and the fire is extinguished. A drain valve in the oil storage tank allows the oil to be recovered and placed back into the oil reservoir of the deep fat fryer for reuse. An air valve in the oil storage tank allows air to evacuate the tank as it is being filled with oil.
