Abstract: A chuck 40 includes a body 42 having a plurality of angularly spaced ribs 166, 168 and 170 formed in a forward cylindrical opening 48 thereof. A locking element 236 is movable within a passage 180 of the body 42, and is formed with a defined portion 242 which is extendable from the passage 180, through an inboard peak surface 172 of the rib 166 and into the opening 48. An actuator 44 is coupled to the locking element 236 and is biased by a spring 250 to urge normally the defined portion 242 of the locking element into the opening 48. A bit 62 is formed with a shank 96 with three grooves 100, 102 and 104 extending axially to a free end 112 thereof. A pocket 114 is formed in a base of each of the grooves 100, 102 and 104. The bit 62 can be manually inserted into the opening 48 of the chuck 40 such that the grooves 100, 102 and 104 are located drivingly over at least portions of the ribs 166, 168 and 170, respectively.

Abstract: A faucet spout assembly 20 is mountable on a deck 80 from above the deck 80. The assembly 20 is connected to a water supply line that extends through an opening 82 in the deck 80. The assembly 20 includes a spout 22 removably connected to a mounting plate 44. A first and a second member 26 and 50, respectively, connect to non-rotatable nut member 64 carrying a retainer member 72 whereby, on shifting the nut member 64 toward the underside of the deck 80, the retainer member 72 will clamp the assembly 20 to the deck 80.
Abstract: A battery-powered hand-guided power tool is provided, such as a hammer, includes a tool housing 3 that contains an electric motor M, a grip housing 2 and a rail-and-channel structure 36,37,54,55 for releasable mounting of a rechargeable battery pack 50. The battery pack 50 is locked in an operative position on the housing 3 in which electrical contacts (51) of the battery pack 50 and associated electrical contacts 42 of the tool housing are electrically connected along a contact length extending in a longitudinal direction of the rail-and-channel arrangement. A latch structure 18,19 located on the tool housing 3 is movable between a latched position and a release position. When the latch structure 18,19 is moved from the latched position into the release position, the battery pack 50 can be moved in the direction of the longitudinal extent of the rail-and-channel structure 36,37,54,55 out of the operative position and can be removed from the tool housing 3.
Abstract: A faucet assembly 30 includes an underbody 36 having end bodies 40 and 42 which are linked by conduits 44 with a center body 38, and further includes a spout 32 and a attached shank 34, all of which are to be assembled with a deck 56. Portions of the upper ends of the end bodies 40 and 42 are each formed with an annular groove 72 which extend through holes 60 and 62 in the deck 56. A pair of trim flanges 48 and 52 are each formed with a platform 160 having an opening 162 extending therethrough which facilitates the positioning of portions of the platform within the annular groove 72 to retain the underbody 36 with the deck 56. Another hole 58 is formed in the deck 56 above the assembled center body 38 and is formed with an axial passage 76 for receipt of the shank 34.
Abstract: A quick-install mounting nut assembly for connecting a shank of a faucet to a deck with the shank having an enlarged upper portion disposed above the deck and a smaller diameter lower portion extending through an opening of the deck. A strap of the assembly is loosely disposed on the lower portion of the shank to be axially raised thereon. The strap has a pair of ears formed thereon with apertures therein. A pair of clips are connected to the ears of the strap and each has an aperture therein aligned with the apertures of the ears of the strap. Each of the clips has a clamping portion biased downwardly into engagement with the lower portion of the shank. A pair of fastener members are separately disposed through the apertures of the strap and the clips and are in threaded engagement with the clips. A pair of nuts are separately disposed upon the ears of the strap to be threadedly engaged by the fastener members.
Abstract: A hub assembly for a faucet handle having an interconnectable top member and skirt member. The top member having a bottom portion of reduced diameter with an external recess formed therein a short distance up from its bottom. The skirt member having an upper opening sized to receive the bottom portion of the top member. Resilient members being formed in the skirt member to extend downwardly and into the upper opening. The resilient members being engageable in the recess of the bottom portion releasably to connect the top member and the skirt.
