Abstract: An endless transmission belt having a tension section, a cushion section, a load carrying section disposed between the tension section and the cushion section, at least one drive surface having a fabric layer bonded to an outer surface of the belt and a layer of thermoplastic located between the fabric layer and the cushion section of the power transmission belt.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a hose construction containing a ternary blend. The hose comprises (a) an inner core comprising a ternary blend of (1) from 60 to 85 parts by weight of a low density polyethylene; (2) from 10 to 20 parts by weight of chlorinated polyethylene, chlorosulfonated polyethylene and mixtures thereof; and (3) from 2 to 25 parts by weight of EPDM; (b) a layer of tensioned reinforcement; and (c) an elastomeric cover.

Abstract: A thermoplastic composition having incorporated metal is provided in accordance with the invention. The thermoplastic composition can be processed at low temperatures, readily absorbs water, and is processable into a form suitable for use as a plant container. The thermoplastic composition and plant containers made therefrom are useful for promoting root branching in plants.
