    Abstract: A high voltage differential is applied across two separated electrodes by a oltage supply. Between these electrodes is located a sample of the solid propellant or other energetic material. The voltage differential across the electrodes generates a spark of measurable voltage, current and time duration in the sample in order to foretell at what energy level sustained ignition of the sample occurs. This spark is measured by a voltage monitor which, upon reaching a predetermined level, sends a signal to a short-circuiting network. The short-circuiting network, after a predetermined time delay, shorts the electrical path across the electrodes thereby removing the voltage differential across the sample and ending the ignition test. An operator is then able to determine visually whether or not the spark of known voltage, current and time duration has created sustained ignition of the sample material.

    Abstract: Elastomers having a polyurethane binder are formed from a mixture including tetrastar polyethylene oxide polyol with a molecular weight of at least 16000 daltons and a plasticizer present in a ratio of at least five parts by weight to one part of the polyol and provide high tensile strength, extreme elongation, great flexibility, and absence of voids. Energetic elastomers use a nitrate ester plasticizer with a curative having a functionality of at least three and an NCO/OH equivalent ratio of about 2.5 and may include an energetic particulate filler. Inert elastomers use a non-volatile ester plasticizer, as dimethyl phthalate, with a curative having a functionality of two and an NCO/OH equivalent ratio not over 2.0.

    Abstract: A radar encoder comprising a delta modulation circuit which receives analog adar video data from a radar and then converts the data to digitized NRZL video data. The radar encoder also has an encoder circuit which receives the digitized NRZL video data as well as a trigger pulse signal and analog synchro signals from the radar. The synchro signals are provided to a Synchro-to-Digital Converter which converts the synchro signals to sixteen digital synchro data bits which are then latched into the converter. The synchro data bits are next parallel transferred to a pair of shift registers and then clocked in a serial format to a multiplexer. The multiplexer also receives the digitized NRZL video data supplied to the encoder circuit. A state machine, in response to the trigger pulse signal, generates control signals to latch the synchro data bits into the converter and then effect the parallel transfer of the synchro data bits from the converter to the shift registers.

    Abstract: Apparatus for providing a direct quantitative readout of the amplitudes of arious frequency lines that constitute the envelope of an amplitude-modulated broadband noise signal. A selected band of carrier frequencies is fed to an AGC circuit that provides a constant-input signal amplitude to a demodulator for a period of time that is greater than the period of the lowest frequency of the modulating signal for detection. The detected signal is fed to a spectrum analyzer for the direct reading of the percent modulation.

The electronics circuit of the present invention is characterized by a first pseudo-random number generator which generates digital random noise signals or dither for addition to the digital equivalent signal and a second pseudo-random number generator which generates subtractive digital random noise signals for the subsequent removal of dither from the digital equivalent signal prior its conversion to the analog replica signal.
