  • Patent number: 5476035
Abstract: Apparatus for manufacturing bakery products is disclosed where an individual dough packet 26 is deposited in a pan 24 made of magnetic material. Endless belts 16 and 18 including magnets 62 has a portion thereof in a path along which the pans 24 are advanced by conveyor belts 12 and 14. The pans 24 are magnetically coupled to the belts 16 and 18, and a sensor 20 is positioned along the path nearby a position Y where an individual dough packet 26 is deposited in a pan at this position.. The sensor 20 provides a control signal upon a pan 24 moving to this position. A motor 22 having a brake 70 and a clutch 72 drives the belts 16 and 18, and a pan 24 held by the belts is advanced upon actuation of the clutch and stopped upon actuation of the brake. A control circuit 80 includes a signal generator that provides a timing signal indicating that a dough packet 26 has been deposited in a pan 24.

  • Patent number: 5473811
Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus 1 for removing insulation from wire 5 where the insulation 21 surrounds a wire core 20. This apparatus 1 includes a mounting fixture 3 for holding a spool 4 of wire 5 in a manner that enables the wire to be unwound from the spool. As the wire 5 is continually unwound from the spool 4 it is wound around a conically shaped, rotatable mandrel 7. A manually adjustable knife blade 23 disposed between the mounting fixture 3 and the mandrel 7 engages the wire 5 as the wire is unwound from the spool 4 and wound around the mandrel. The knife blade 23 is positioned essentially at a tangent to the wire core 20 so that it cuts the insulation 21 into sections, one section 43 riding over the blade as the wire 5 is wound around the mandrel 7 and the other section 44 of insulation remaining on the wire core after the wire engages the knife blade.

  • Patent number: 5460344
Abstract: Disclosed is a fence support including a generally vertically oriented main support post in the form of a T shaped iron bar and a single brace. The brace includes an elongated bearing element that is received in the bite of the T and a collar member fits over the top of the main support post and bearing elements to hold them together. The brace has at its bottom end a stake holder which receive a stakes that are driven into the ground. Two different gate adapters are shown for mounting in a hinge like manner a gate to a T-post or the like.

  • Patent number: 5455558
Abstract: A turn signal alert device adapted to be easily retrofitted on an automobile which provides an audio signal when the turn signal indicator of an automobile is activated. This device includes a time delay element which delays turning on the audio signal for a predetermined time period after the turn signal indicator has been activated. A wafer-like connector couples the device across the flasher relay of the turn signal indicator, with the prongs of the flasher relay being inserted into openings in the connector with conductive elements at the openings to make electrical contact with the prongs. The device includes an audio element which is connected electrically across the flasher relay to one side of the battery power supply and the other side of the battery power supply through the filament of a light bulb in the turn signal indicator. A delay means provides a predetermined time period between a series of audio alert signals until the manually activated switch is deactivated.

  • Patent number: 5444440
Abstract: Operating circuits for a solenoid actuated locking means mounted interiorly of a garage door, to provide additional security. The operating circuits are electrically connected to the solenoid operator of a normally closed hasp that cooperates with the garage door in the closed position. The circuits are designed for use with an automatic garage door opener or a manually opened garage door, and include integrated circuit logic, relay logic, or equivalent means to allow opening of the garage door by authorized means, or if a forced attempt is made, or an unauthorized means is used, to open the garage door, when the garage door is in the secured position, the circuitry will activate an alarm, or other security means and prevent the garage door from being opened.

  • Patent number: 5432504
Abstract: Disclosed is a device 10 for a video screen 16 which includes a support member 12 member disposed about the circumference of the video screen 16. The support member 12 has walls with interior reflective surfaces 30. A plurality of point light sources or lamps 32 are mounted to the support member 12 and positioned to provide to inner and outer concentric frames 50 and 52 of light on the screen 16. The inner frame 52 comprises a series of discrete point light images or dots 46 near the circumference of the screen 16 formed by light from the light sources being cast directly onto the screen. The outer frame 50 comprises a series of discrete point light images or dots near the circumference of the screen 16 formed by light from the light sources 32 first reflecting off the reflective surfaces 30 and then onto the screen 16. The intensity of the light from the inner frame 52 is less than the intensity of light from the outer frame 50.

  • Patent number: 5419551
Abstract: A multi-purpose golf tool 10 comprises a housing 12 having an exterior surface including a first side with a window therein and a second side with first and second openings therein. A score wheel 18 inside the housing 12 has one side with numbers displayed thereon and a rim. The rim partially extends through the first opening to enable the wheel 18 to be manually rotated by pushing against the portion of the rim extending through the first opening. The wheel 18 is mounted so that individual ones of the numbers move in sequence into alignment with the window as the wheel 18 is rotated. A brush 20 mounted within the housing 12 is manually moved between a first position where the brush 20 is enclosed within the housing 12 and a second position where the bristles of the bush extend through the second opening outward from the housing.
