  • Patent number: 5839970
Abstract: The head of a mallet-type putter includes on its upper surface indicia in the form of a first long line, a second short line, and a series of even shorter lines extending from the end of the short line and sweeping rearward in a curved are to become parallel with the first long line. In order to compensate for a golfer's sighting error resulting from eye predominance, the long line is arranged to align putts that are ten feet or longer in distance from the golf ball to the putting cup. The short line and the arcuate array of even shorter lines are arranged to align putts that are shorter than ten feet in distance from the golf ball to the putting cup. The golfer may measure the degree of eye dominance, if any, by a sighting method that closely approximates conditions found on all golf courses including a 4 1/4 inch putting cup, and this measurement is used to arrange the different sighting lines on the putter head.

  • Patent number: 5743888
Abstract: An improved safety needle, including a needle base, for fixing therein a rigid needle containing a hollow hub at one end, a hollow needle connected thereto and a sharp needle tip at the other end, the base defined by a proximal end and a distal end spaced-apart therefrom, the distal end of the needle base having formed therethrough a first bore concentric to the needle and covering the sharp needle tip, and a cap covering the first bore and rotatably positioned thereover, having formed therethrough a second bore, wherein the cap is rotatable between a first, safe position placing the first and second bores out of alignment and preventing passage of the needle and the sharp needle tip therethrough, and a second, armed position placing the first and second bores in alignment to allow passage of the needle therethrough to expose the sharp needle tip.

  • Patent number: 5673799
Abstract: A method of continuously testing and sorting large quantities of capacitor chips, including the steps of loading the chips into identical rows of aligned positions in a rotatable member, simultaneously and sequentially rotating the member to advance the chips past a plurality of testing stations and past subsequent sorting stations, each station successively aligned momentarily with each row of the aligned chips, simultaneously and sequentially conducting a plurality of sequential electrical testing to the chips as they are rotated from test station to test station and classifying them in a plurality of ranges of values at the last test station, and at each subsequent sorting station, sequentially collecting chips belonging in one of the ranges of values until all the chips are collected before the rotating member returns for reloading.
