Abstract: The invention describes a system and methods for analyzing and improving business operations. The system includes a plurality of business operations databases that contains a plurality of operational data obtained from a plurality of business organizations. The system provides for flexible user defined input and output of data and information flows that contribute to improving the operational effectiveness and productivity of a business entity. One method defines the process for identifying, analyzing and selecting the existing business process databases and information flows for performance, productivity, cost and organizational improvement. The other method includes the steps of gathering, storing and outputting a plurality of operational data obtained from a plurality of businesses in a flexible and confidential manner for each business entity. This method also includes the de-identifying of the database for a variety of secondary purposes, including research and development.
Abstract: Provided herewith is an apparatus and means for interning a plurality of cremated remains and their accompanying urns in a single columbarium such that the ashes and urns are inaccessible once they are interned. The apparatus comprises a plurality of vertically stacked slanted trays for retaining the urns and a telescoping cylinder with built in ramps. The telescoping cylinder is raised in the columbarium, the urn placed in a ramp in the cylinder and the cylinder lowered back into the columbarium. The cylinder is then rotated and the urn rolls by gravitational force onto the tray for permanent storage. A storage container is available to store DNA or other memorabilia of the deceased that is accessible at a future date. There is a ring binder type structure on the top of the columbarium to inscribe or attached the deceased individual's particulars.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for sharpening clockwise rotating standard blades, counter-clockwise rotating standard blades and mulching style blades of either clockwise or counter-clockwise rotation is provided. The present invention comprises a base with a blade fixture which is reversible to accommodate both clockwise and counter-clockwise rotating blades. Uprights, a slide shaft, a slide bushing and a handle shaft connected to a disc grinder provide a means for setting a primary cutting angle for sharpening the primary cutting edges of a blade. An adjusting wheel rotatable attached to the handle shaft and pivotably coupled to the disc grinder provide a means for quickly and easily adjusting the cutting angle in order to accommodate sharpening the secondary cutting edges of a mulching style blade and returning the disc grinder back to its original cutting angle.
Abstract: A boat trailer modified to include a dolly and dolly track, the dolly including a hook triggering mechanism, a bow cradle and a slidable hooking mechanism for engaging a watercraft bow ring at a wide range misalignment with the centerline of the trailer. The trailer further including a remote controlled power winch with an automatic shut off for stopping the power winch when a watercraft is fully loaded. The invention providing a means for a single user to launch a securely retrieve a watercraft to and from a watercraft trailer.
Abstract: Disclosed is a remote collection and bagging device for a sanitary and convenient means for collecting and disposing of refuse or fecal matter at a distance from a user. The device comprises a handle and trigger, a foldable extension shaft, a cable attached to the trigger and slide bars, the slide bars also connected to a set of claws which are spring biased in a normally open position and a bag retention mechanism. The claws have teeth that intermesh with each other when in a closed position such that the teeth extend past each other in order to get beneath the refuse or material being collected. Once refuse is collected, the device can be raised to a horizontal position thereby causing the collected material to fall into the attached bag for easy disposal.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for displaying time on a display panel having a plurality of segment type character display units are provided. Time is displayed in a first position on the display panel by activating a first group of segments in the character display units. The display of time is shifted on the display panel to a second position that is displaced from the first position by activating a second group of segments that is displaced from the first group of segments.
Abstract: A low profile tension adjuster for use with a chain or belt driven power transmission system which has a slidable bar that sits inside of a yoke and over an axle and a base plate and set screw arrangement that abuts the slidable bar. The set screw and base plate being utilized to force the slidable bar into a positive fixed contact with the inside yoke end and then force the base plate and axle rearward in order to tighten the chain or belt power transmission system. The entire tension adjuster being generally cylindrical in shape and not extending beyond the ends of the yoke.
Abstract: A granular biomass burning furnace for use with any appropriate granular biomass, such as grains, cherry pits, etc. The furnace includes a three stage heat exchanger, a fuel injector, a fuel stirrer, an ash ejector, a wash down system, a three stage air inducer, a fuel igniter, and supporting components. The unit includes a computer controller which controls all aspects of the operation of the unit based on information from sensors located throughout the unit. The unit includes a smart logic thermal controller to adjust the output heat of the unit via a variable speed air inducer. The three stage heat exchanger system includes a spiral water jacket surrounding the burn pot, a plurality of heat exchanger baffles in the unit, and a fine finned heat exchanger at the top of the unit. The air inducer provides air to the burn pot from three directions to promote complete combustion.
Abstract: An apparatus for securing construction structure loads to a trailer for transportation which employs adjustable tubes, tie down chains, chain binders, load pads and protective flanges. The load pads being the apparatus for transferring the tie down forces to the construction structure load and trailer bed without damaging the load. The protective flanges being the apparatus for preventing the load chains from damaging the edges of the construction structure load when the load is secured. The apparatus is placed on the top of a load with the load chains secured to the trailer at a vertical angle. The chain binders being the apparatus to tighten down on the load creating greater clamping force between the load and the trailer bed.

Abstract: Provided herewith is a walking cane device that converts into a tool for grasping items out of the normal reach of an individual. The device comprises two vertical members, pivotably connected to each other. One end of the device is a handle end and the other end is the tip end. Upon releasing a locking mechanism the handle end can be opened up, thereby opening up the tip end to provide a gripper end for grasping objects distant from the handle end. The gripper end being shaped to provide a flat gripper portion for grasping objects as well as a concave surface portion for gripping cylindrical objects. Upon closing the apparatus, the two vertical members interlock to prevent the members from separation during use as a cane. Also provided is a detachable broader base that can be secured to the tip of the device when utilized as a cane.

Abstract: A stable portable beverage dispensing cooler includes a spring loaded dispensing unit for beverages with freezer packs between the rows of beverages for maintaining the beverages in a chilled environment. The portable cooler includes a lower drawer for storage and at least two snack trays and two beverage trays. The cooler lid can be formed in the shape of any outdoor activity, such as soccer, football or the like, to show support for the outdoor activity. The base of the cooler is wider and longer than the cooler body to provide greater stability to the portable cooler.
