  • Patent number: 6622997
Abstract: A straight edge clamping device for clamping workpieces is provided. The device comprises a straight edge having a flat lower surface for contacting workpieces, an upper wall, and two sidewalls, a first stop fixed at one end of the edge, a second stop movably provided along the edge, and a clamp for holding the workpieces together. The walls of the edge define an open channel. The second stop has a body movably received in the channel of the edge and having a shape reverse to the shape of the channel of the base so that the body and the channel interlock. The upper wall of the base has one or more recesses, and the body of the second stop has mating projections so that the recesses and the projections interlock.

  • Patent number: 6615788
Abstract: A mechanism for sealing gaps between a piston assembly and a cylinder for an internal combustion engine is provided. A sealing member inserted into an upper wall of a groove holding the oil ring to block a gap between them. The oil ring has two rails on its outer periphery. The upper rail is radially bigger than the lower rail and conforms better to the shape of the cylinder. The oil ring has a recess on its inner periphery to hold a pressing member that forces the oil ring against the cylinder. The recess is extended beyond the pressing member to provide a larger contact area between the oil ring and the groove.

  • Patent number: 6607546
Abstract: The nasal catheter system will provide an improvement over existing devices that do not fill the recesses of the nose, do cause significant pain and still do not stop nosebleeds very effectively. The objectives are achieved through the design of a version of the device that has two inflatable bags, which in the preferred embodiment are not elastic balloons. The anterior bag is much larger in volume than the anterior nasal cavity. The design of the bag is generally cylindrical but has deep ridges projecting outward producing a “pleated” design with ribs running along and parallel to the axis of the catheter. Alternate designs include a circumferential ring or capillary tube fingers projecting outward. Any surface projection that serves to create additional surface area or any projection that winds and flows into the meatus recesses of the nasal cavity with greater ease will accomplish some aspect of the desired objective.

  • Patent number: 6585132
Abstract: A tablet supplying and packaging system comprises a tablet packaging unit having an upper portion, a base cabinet on top of the upper portion. The base cabinet defined by front, rear surfaces and side ends. One of the side ends is swingably engaged to the tablet packaging unit. One or more slider cabinets each defined by longer side surfaces and shorter side surfaces are horizontally aligned in rear of the base cabinet such that each longer side surface becomes perpendicular to the rear surface of the base cabinet. The slider cabinets are linearly slidable to move back and forth so the slider cabinet sliding can be effected when the base cabinet is swung open, whereby the slider cabinets are selectively pulled out through a space reserved by opening the base cabinet.

  • Patent number: 6581356
Abstract: A tablet dispensing and packaging system includes a drum unit accommodating tablet cassettes open to tablet channels. A base tray slides in and out underneath the drum unit. First openings are formed through upper and lower surfaces of the base tray and a first membrane having pores is slidably provided on the lower surface. A removable tray has second openings therethrough a second membrane having pores is slidably provided on the lower surface of the removable tray to either keep tablets in the second openings thereby or drop the tablets through the pores thereof when slidably displaced to a predetermined extent. The removable tray is detachably mountable on the slid-out base tray.

  • Patent number: 6575742
Abstract: An osteogenic support device for an orthodontic treatment comprises a platform, lower and upper projections extending downwardly and upwardly from the platform. The upper projection is substantially tapered from the platform toward a cap. The upper protection has a through opening substantially perpendicular to an axis of the lower projection. A first end of the elastic wire is hooked between the cap and the platform, and a second end of the elastic wire is hooked with an orthodontic wire which links each bracket attached on teeth of the orthodontic patient.

  • Patent number: 6575174
Abstract: A hair grooming brush with a plurality or rows of curved wavy bristles, rather than traditional straight bristles found on brushes and combs. The curvature of the bristles produces a springiness to the bristles when pressure is applied during the combing action. The springiness of the numerous rows of bristles, translates into a massaging effect upon the hair and scalp. Rows of curved bristles are more effective at untangling the hair. The three different sections of the bristle, the lower, middle and tip sections, can be either straight or curved. Additionally the rows can alternate between various formations of bristles.

  • Patent number: 6575740
Abstract: An orthodontic bracket positioning system comprises a plate having a bridge. The plate is defined by a first side portion and a second side portion to form a hollow therebetween. The first and second side portions are connected to each other by the bridge and an outer edge line of the plate contains therein the bridge, the first and second side portions. First and second connectors each have a front end and a rear end to become rotatably engaged to each other between the front and rear ends thereof. The first and second connector front ends are rotatably connected to the first and second side portions An actuator is engaged to said each rear end of the first and second connectors to control a relative rotation of the first and second connectors so as to subsequently either widen or narrow the hollow.

  • Patent number: 6572634
Abstract: A nose end adjusting device includes a first nostril projection having a first upper surface. The base connector has a recess and a vertical axis. The recess has a recess base and a recess gap. The recess base accepts the back of the septum of a nose, and the recess gap accepts the end of the septum of the nose. The vertical axis and the first upper surface form an angle &agr;. When the first nostril projection is inserted into a first nostril of the nose, the first nostril projection applies pressure to the first nostril. The pressure causes the first nostril and the nose to be lowered.
