Abstract: Instrument holder comprising a shank (1) equipped with a head (2) designed to receive an instrument and a locking component (4) pushed against the head by a spring (9) bearing on a ring (11) sliding on the shank, and having means of connection (8, 12) on the shank which is engaged by rotation of the ring, in such a way that the release of the ring allows the locking component, the spring and the ring to slide freely in order to permit cleaning of the instrument holder.
Abstract: A connecting assembly is disclosed having a first component defining an opening, a second component adapted to be retained together with the first component and a connector component made of a superelastic alloy. Relative motion between at least two of the components causes a super-elastic activation of the connector wherein the activation simultaneously retains the components together with the connector interposed jointly therebetween. Preferably the connector component is pre-assembled to one of the first and second components. More preferably, the first component is pre-assembled with the connector and the second component is moved relative to the pre-assembled components to activate the superelastic alloy of the connector. Alternatively, the second component is pre-assembled with the connector and the first component is moved relative to the pre-assembled components to activate the superelastic alloy of the connector.
Abstract: The surgical reamer (20) has a hollow dome (24) with apertures (26) spaced apart arranged in arcs (28) extending from an apex (30) of the dome to the base portion (32) of the dome, and removable teeth (22) positioned in the apertures. Each cutting tooth (22) has a flange (52) that is aligned flush with the external surface of the dome (24), and a raised cutting edge (50) extending above the flange and the external surface (36) of the dome, and an interior passageway (39) communicating between the outside and inside of the dome. In one embodiment, a base plate (56) is removably secured on the base portion (32) of the dome (24) to provide closure of the central cavity (34) of the dome.
Abstract: A non-corrosive metallic sealing assembly is disclosed. The assembly has a first sealing surface and a second sealing surface with a gasketing member being interposed between the first and second sealing surfaces. The gasketing member has a top sealing surface engaging the first sealing surface and a bottom sealing surface engaging the second sealing surface, respectively. The gasket member is preferably a flat washer made of a super-elastic alloy, such as nitinol, wherein the gasket member elastically bends to effect a seal between the first and second members when its sealing surfaces are fully engaged.
Abstract: This invention relates to a safety switch structure of a mixer adjustable for a juice extractor in which one safety switch is bound to a main body to which a mixer adjustable for a juice extractor is connected in turns; the bound switch is operated by each special pressing device; the pressing devices are installed to be connected to the pressing devices installed separately at the juice extracting cup and the mixing cup, whereby each safety switch is operated when each juice extracting cup or mixing cup is connected to the main body so that all of the juice extracting cup and the mixing cup used in two ways can be used safely.
