  • Patent number: 6231032
Abstract: A sensualizer or sense-simile machine reproduces smells and flavors using a cylinder housing smell and flavor cartridges. Selected cartridges deposit predetermined amounts of sense substances onto a carrier to reproduce the desired smell or flavor. The cylinder rotates to bring rows of cartridges to a position for depositing the substances onto the carrier. The carrier moves back and forth along a path under the row of cartridges and stops momentarily under the cartridges selected to reproduce the particular smell or flavor. An air blast disperses the substances into a tube for delivery to a location where the senses can be aroused. The machine can be activated from a remote location over a standard telephone line or accessed through a computer over a modem. With a computer or other input device, simulations and reproductions can be done locally.

  • Patent number: 6209731
Abstract: A gravity feed merchandising device includes a plurality of longitudinally extending, downwardly inclined tracks. Each track includes a pair of parallel rails defining a space therebetween. The rails support a row of bottles such that the underside of each bottle neck flange engages the rails for movement relative to the rails. Each track is provided at its front end with a spring-urged stopper so that the cap of the leading bottle in that track is prevented from dislodgement through the front end of the track when the leading bottle is supported by the track, but can be removed from the track through the front end when pulled against the stopper.

  • Patent number: 6209733
Abstract: A display rack for displaying all sizes of beverage bottles has a support column with a plurality of keyways. Each keyway receives and holds a beverage bottle by its neck ring. Each keyway limits upward movement of one head of one bottle inserted therein while allowing the body of the bottle to tilt downward to thereby hold the bottle by its neck. A plurality of brackets, each having a keyway, can be fastened to the support column with each bracket having a lower connecting flange fastened to the support column and an upper positioning flange. The brackets can be fastened to one another forming a vertical column without the vertical support member. Each bracket has a lower horizontally oriented connecting flange and an angled upper positioning to cause a bottle to tilt downward when inserted in the keyway. The keyways can be formed in the support column without brackets or the brackets can surround the support column forming platforms.

  • Patent number: 6186345
Abstract: A stackable case has a base wall, a pair of opposed side walls and a back wall which are molded together to form a unitary crate structure with an open top and an open front. The open top and open front are designed to provide access to the articles to be accommodated in the crate structure. The base wall is arranged so that its upper surface provides a low friction, article-carrying floor inclined downwardly toward the open front. Partitions are provided to divide the floor area into two or more parallel tracks for receiving articles in rows. The tracks extend forward from the back wall so that the articles in each track are carried by the floor and are allowed to gravity feed toward the open front. A front stopper is provided at the open front for engagement with the leading article in each track to prevent the leading article from falling out of the crate structure.

  • Patent number: 6102496
Abstract: Display cabinet comprises a housing and a front door for closing the open front of the housing. The front door is connected to one of the housing walls for movement between the closed position and the opened position. The front door comprises a first panel member connected to the one housing wall for pivotal movement about a first axis, and a second panel member connected to the first panel member for pivotal movement about a second axis. The first and second axes are disposed generally parallel to each other such that when the front door is in the closed position, the first and second panel members lie in the same plane, and when the front door is in the opened position, the first and second panel members take an erected form of a V-shaped cross section which erected form has an edge extending along the second axis.

  • Patent number: 6095451
Abstract: A wheel for a vehicle is adapted for use as a winch. The wheel has an axis of rotation, an end face and a contoured surface visible when a tire is mounted on the wheel. A plurality of spaced brackets are fastened to the surface of the wheel and lie parallel to the axis of rotation. A plurality of fingers, with each finger slidably movable in an associated bracket of the plurality of brackets, are deployable from a retracted position at which the fingers lie parallel to the axis of rotation and do not protrude beyond the end face of the wheel, and an extended position at which the fingers extend beyond the end face. When extended, the fingers can engage a rope attached to a stationary object, and when the wheel is rotated, the vehicle can be drawn toward the stationary object thereby rescuing the vehicle from tractionless environments.
