Abstract: An isolating foot pad for heavy equipment provided with an elastomeric dampening base and an inverted metallic cylindrical member in the base. A bolt is positioned in said cylindrical member with the shaft of the bolt extending upwardly to engage the heavy equipment. The side movement of the head of the bolt is constrained and the angular movement of the bolt shaft is also limited by a retaining ring in the cylindrical member.
Abstract: A sawhorse provided with a pair of supports supporting a horizontal member wherein the supports are angled toward the respective ends of the horizontal member and where the ends of the supports are within the space of the ends of the horizontal member and the supports themselves are made of leg portions and portions which support the underside of the horizontal member and are connected therethrough, the latter section being flat and being at an obtuse angle with said legs.
Abstract: A self-contained refrigerator and oven, for refrigerating and cooking food in the same enclosed chamber, which can be actuated by the operator from a variety of remote locations around the world via telephone or the internet. The heating element may be a microwave unit and the refrigerating means may be a thermoelectric heat pump.
Abstract: A rotary shaft bearing isolator seal where the shaft extends into dry comminuted material providing a stator having a very small tolerance between the rotor on the shaft and the stator containing downwardly sloping circular portions adjacent complimentary inwardly extending and outwardly extending portions of said rotor.
Abstract: A method of estimating the precision of an apparatus that generates a continuous stream of information. The method comprises dividing the information in successive or overlapping pairs and calculating an index of precision therefrom for evaluation against a benchmark such as a standard value, a specification, or a contract requirement. Calculations can be done by a microprocessor and microprocessor instructions internal to the instrument or by a microprocessor and microprocessor instruction external to the instrument. The microprocessor instructions comprise any of various standard mathematical algorithms which return an estimated index of precision.
Abstract: A combination container and closure provided with matching, engaging lugs or a ring on said closure and said container and an interior ring on said closure fitting within the opening on said container.
Abstract: A license plate holder provided with a flat backing plate to which a transparent cover is hinged at the base thereof and which may be readily removable from the backing plate at the top thereof.
Abstract: A removable cover for lug nuts, used for mounting a wheel rim on a vehicle, characterized by having a plurality of flat side surfaces which engage the complimentary sides of a lug nut where adjacent side surfaces are separated by a slot so that the side surfaces will function as a spring to retain the cover on the lug nut.
Abstract: A fishing leader straightening device comprising compression spring loaded rods to hold the hook attached to one end of a shock tippet and slots to receive the knotted ends of the shock tippet to enable the shock tippet to be straightened. The base member may be provided with suction cups so that it may be held on the deck of a fishing boat.
Abstract: An apparatus and method for unrolling fencing for use with a vehicle. The apparatus comprises a frame with an unright support and a bottom, a first and second gate, each gate having a back edge and a front edge, the back edge of each gate pivotally connected to the frame such that the gates can open and close, with the front edge of the first gate adjacent to the front edge of the second gate when the gates are closed. The apparatus preferably includes hydraulic cylinders for opening and closing the gates. It also preferably includes a rotatable bottom plate. The bottom plate optionally has a pin attached to it whereby a roll of fencing having a center hole can be placed on the bottom plate over the pin and unwound. The apparatus preferably includes an adapter attached to the frame for attachment to the vehicle.
Abstract: A flange shape which permits a minimum amount of force to be used in causing the closure to engage the container thus enabling a minimum amount of material to be used in the manufacture of the container while maximizing the amount of force necessary to disengage the closure after it has been attached to the top of the container.
Abstract: A combination drainage system and radon gas venting system for a structure foundation as disclosed which utilizes solid rubber particle fill as a free draining and venting medium.
