Abstract: A drawer guide assembly for a movable structure such as a drawer in a furniture article allows for full or nearly full extension of the movable structure. A drawer guide assembly comprises a pull-out rail, a swing arm with one end hinged to the pull-out rail and having a track roller coupled thereto, a guide rail supporting the pull-out rail and communicating with the track roller, and a curved track disposed on the guide rail for receiving the track roller when a drawer is pushed into a furniture article.

Abstract: The invention is a drawer with Zargen drawer slide system. The side walls of the drawer are simultaneously the Zargen drawer slides, and the Zargen drawer slide system has horizontal flanges that support and hold the drawer bottom. There are fastening devices on the Zargen drawer that connect the Zargen drawer together with the drawer bottom. These fastening devices take the form of latch connectors, which are anchored, swinging, in the Zargen drawer slide system and can be engaged or disengaged manually with the corresponding notches in the drawer bottom.
Abstract: A fastener system for mounting a furniture fitting includes a pair of spreader dowels supported in corresponding holes in the fastening flange of a furniture fitting. Each spreader dowel includes an expandable dowel with an inner notch and a noncircular spreader screw within the inner notch. The spreader screw expands the dowel with a 90-degree turn of the spreader screw, and each spreader screw is provided with a cover cap from which a crank extends. The respective dowels are expanded by rotating the respective cranks through a 90-degree turn from a position substantially parallel to one another to a position overlapping one another.
Abstract: A method of placing a quantity of refractory sand in the discharge channel of a bottom discharging metallurgical vessel includes the steps of orienting the vessel whereby the channel is presented in a horizontal direction, and opening the channel. A generally cylindrical cartridge of refractory sand, closed at both ends, is then loaded onto a casing dimensioned to slide into the discharge channel. The casing with its cartridge of sand is then slid into the channel, the channel is closed and the vessel is righted.
Abstract: A fastener driver cap feeder assembly includes a nose piece adapted to be attached to a pneumatic or explosive charge type fastener driver for receiving and supporting a fastener cap proximate a nose of the fastener driver for the pupose of driving a fastener through the fastener cap into a workpiece. The assembly also includes a track communicating with the nose piece and adapted to direct succeeding fastener caps to the nose piece, a magazine adapted to receive and hold a supply of succeeding fastener caps and communicating with the track to permit passage of succeeding fastener caps from the magazine to the track, and an intermittently operable mechanism associated with one of the track and the magazine adapted to operate in response to actuation of the fastener driver to incrementally move succeeding fastener caps from the track to the nose piece.
Abstract: An adjustable hinge for mounting a door on a frame of a furniture article includes a hinge arm with a first end portion articulated to the first hinge and with a second end portion on which is formed an adjustment member with a threaded adjustment screw opening and a pair of opposing lateral edge portions with depending flanges, each having a recess with a forward end having an abutment surface and a rearward end having a hook. The hinge also includes a second hinge member having portions defining an adjustment screw opening and a pair of opposing lateral edge portions with upstanding flanges, each of which has a forward projection and a rearward projection. The rearward projection pivotably engages the hook of the recess in the depending flange of the adjustment member with the forward projection confronting the abutment surface of the recess of the depending ledge of the adjustment member.
Abstract: A hinge for mounting a door on a frame of a furniture articles includes a first hinge member such as a hinge cup to be mounted to the door, a hinge arm connected at one end of the hinge arm to the hinge cup on a pivot pin fixed in the hinge cup, and a second hinge member in the form of a hinge plate disposed on the other end of the hinge arm. The hinge plate includes an elongate opening with a centrally disposed first section and adjacent sections communicating with the first section through first and second gap formed by projections extending from opposing sides of the elongate opening towards one another. A fastening screw can be premounted in the hinge arm plate by insertion into the first section of the elongate opening. The fastening screw is provided with a threaded section which engages the projection.
Abstract: A self-positioning cabinet rail for a drawer guide for supporting a drawer in a drawer opening of a furniture article such as a cabinet includes a rail member with front and rear ends, upper and lower ledges, a cabinet rail roller and a projection on the front end of the rail member extending substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the rail member. An extension member of a resilient or semiresilient material is disposed on the projection and extends below the bottom margin of the front end of the rail member to properly space the cabinet rail from the bottom of the drawer opening. The extension member also extends forward of the front margin of the front end of the rail member to provide an abutment surface or stop for the drawer front.
