Abstract: A timing recovery system for the low density longitudinal record channels utilizing capstan velocity or feed forward rate in a magnetic tape recording/reproducing system in which the capstan feed forward velocity, derived from an encoder, provides a signal whose frequency is proportional to the speed of the tape driven by the capstan. A scaling circuit is provided by a frequency-to-voltage converter followed by a voltage-to-frequency converter, the output signal providing a demodulation clock having a multiplied frequency proportional to the data rate reproduced from the tape. The demodulation clock, fed to the timing window generation circuitry, provides an input to data detection circuitry to provide a clocked data output, regardless of the reproduce speed within a very large range of speeds.
Abstract: A child's activity ring toy having first and second concentric ring portions, at least a part of at least one of the ring portions having thread segments along a multiple screw path with adjacent thread segments of adjacent screw paths overlapping in the axial direction. A figure is mounted on this threaded part of the ring with an opening therein configured for engaging a next thread segment in the axial direction as a previous thread segment is disengaged.

Abstract: A toy glider having a generally rigid spine member with integrally formed transversely extending connector portions configured for receiving the wings therein, with the wings being separable from the spine member on impact. The wings are provided with creases with apertures adjacent thereto for connecting thereto simulated armament which maintains each wing in a folded configuration, with a seat member being adjustably attachable to the spine member, the seat being adapted for receiving one of a plurality of toy figures of different weights within a range of weights, the position of the seat and the weight of the figure, in part, controlling the aerodynamics of the glider.
Abstract: A push toy having a wheel housing rotatably supporting a pair of wheels with an impeller within the housing actuated upon rotation of the wheels, the impeller coacting with the interior of a generally transparent, continuous loop tube formed partially within the handle with a plurality of colored spheres therein, rotation of the impeller moving the string of spheres up the tube to the apex thereof, whereupon the spheres drop under the force of gravity. The toy may be operated in forward or reverse directions.
