  • Patent number: 4850570
Abstract: A unitized portable hoist having a base structure. A support structure is attached to the base structure. A hoist drum is rotatable attached to hydraulic motors which are in turn attached to the base structure. A crown block is attached to the base structure below the hoist drum. An electric motor drives a hydraulic pump, both of which are attached to the base structure. The hydraulic pump drives the hydraulic motors. A cable is taken up and let out by the hoist drum. A fall block rides on the cable.

  • Patent number: 4850571
Abstract: The present invention relates to a connector assembly for maintaining a crown block with respect to a fall block of a hoist assembly. A tube on each side of the crown block can retain a rod on each side of the fall block. A hydraulic unit on the free end of the tube has a ram that pushes the rod partially out of the tube, when the crown block and fall block are being held together by a hoist cable.

  • Patent number: 4788523
Abstract: A viad chip resistor made from an insulative wafer and having a via formed near end of the wafer. Conductive pads surround the vias on both sides of the wafer. A resistive element is formed on one side of the wafer between the vias and is electrically connected to the conductive pads on that side. An array of viad chip resistors, from which said individual viad chip resistors are cut, is also shown.
