  • Patent number: 6668965
Abstract: A. dolly wheel steering system includes a dolly wheel, a dolly wheel spindle in communication with the dolly wheel such that the dolly wheel and the dolly wheel spindle are fixedly secured to one another and are rotatable as a single unit. The dolly wheel spindle is in communication with a coupling device and a steering control system. The steering control system and the coupling device are each in communication with a controller to regulate actuation of each. When a signal from the controller requests utilization of steering control, the coupling device applies a restraining force to the dolly wheel spindle to limit free rotation of the dolly wheel. When the rotation of the dolly wheel spindle is thus restrained, the steering control system can effectuate direct steering control of the dolly wheels to provide precise directional control.

  • Patent number: 6390785
Abstract: An air booster system (10) for use with a gas turbine to deliver compressed air to a combustion chamber (14) includes a first cylinder (24) with a first piston (52) reciprocal therein and a second cylinder (26) having a second piston (54) reciprocal therein. The first piston (52) is connected to the second piston (54) by a connecting rod (56) such that the first and second pistons (52, 54) reciprocate together. The air booster system (10) also includes a third cylinder (28) having a third piston (58) reciprocal therein and a fourth cylinder (30) having a fourth piston (60) reciprocal therein. The third piston (58) is connected to the fourth piston (60) by a connecting rod (62) such that the third piston (58) and the fourth piston (60) reciprocate together. Each of the cylinders (24, 26, 28, 30) are in fluid communication with a compressor (12) to receive preliminarily compressed air therefrom.

  • Patent number: 6363531
Abstract: A waterproof relief outlet in a chest wader consisting of a zipper having a zipper portion capable of movement from a closed position to an open position, wherein the zipper prevents water from entering the interior of the chest wader when the zipper portion is in said closed position. The wearer of the chest wader thereby has a way for relieving himself without having to substantially remove the waders and/or any undergarments. Further, this is accomplished in a highly simplified manner, wherein the wearer need only to grab a tab coupled to a slide fastener of the zipper portion in order to move the zipper portion from the closed position to the open position.
