  • Patent number: 6161206
Abstract: A test pattern generator for a semiconductor integrated circuit tester comprises a DRAM for receiving and storing test pattern data in blocks and a SRAM for storing checking data in units, wherein each unit of checking data stored in the SRAM bears a predetermined relationship to a corresponding block received by the DRAM. A DRAM sequencer addresses the DRAM for reading the blocks of test pattern data in a predetermined order and a SRAM sequencer addresses the SRAM for reading the units of checking data from the SRAM. A validating circuit receives a block of test pattern data read from the DRAM and the corresponding unit of checking data read from the SRAM and provides an output which indicates whether the unit of checking data is in the predetermined relationship with the block.

  • Patent number: 6155089
Abstract: An electromechanical cylinder lock includes a lock body and a turnable lock cylinder and a locking mechanism inside the lock body. The locking mechanism normally prevents turning of the lock cylinder relative to the lock body and can be moved by a key of the lock to a releasing position allowing turning of the lock cylinder. The key for the lock includes a transmitter for transmitting an electronic code and the lock correspondingly includes a receiver for receiving and identifying the code of the key. When the receiver detects the correct code the receiver enables mechanical opening of the lock by the key. The lock includes a locking disc with a key opening which is so designed that the turning of the key does not directly act mechanically on the locking disc. The lock also includes a coupling element for coupling the locking disc to the turning movement of the key.

  • Patent number: 6155016
Abstract: A fire resistant and sound insulating wall structure, particularly for the ship building industry, includes vertical stiffeners and a surface plate attached to the vertical stiffeners, preferably by gluing. A relatively thin corrugated plate is attached to the surface plate by gluing. The corrugations of the corrugated plate are substantially horizontally oriented and accordingly the corrugated plate provides horizontal stiffness. The glue attachment of the surface plate to the vertical stiffeners is preferably secured by means of screws for maintaining the fire-resisting properties of the structure in the event of the glue being destroyed by the heat of a fire.

  • Patent number: 6143395
Abstract: The upper surface of a mouse pad is formed with grooves of width substantially smaller than the diameter of the mouse ball, whereby particles that fall in the grooves do not adhere to the mouse ball when the mouse is moved over the mouse pad.

  • Patent number: 6129663
Abstract: Score values representing a user's subjective rating of a condition as recorded using a monitor worn by or secured to the user. The monitor includes a clock for generating a periodic timing signal, a user interface for entering score values and a transducer for prompting the user to enter a score value. A time storage device stores timing information and a data storage device for stores time values and related score values. A controller activates the transducer at times indicated by the timing information. The stored time values and related score values can be read from the data storage device.

  • Patent number: 6130708
Abstract: A waveform monitor receives HDTV and SDTV signals that are provided to a channel and an external trigger terminal respectively. An HDTV signal processor 14 produces a reference clock PCLK from the HDTV signal. A counter starts counting at the vertical sync signal of the SDTV signal and generates a trigger every time the count of the reference clock PCLK reaches a predetermined number (2,200, for example). This allows generation of a trigger signal which is phase locked to the vertical sync signal of the SDTV signal, and of which the frequency is the same as the horizontal line frequency of the HDTV signal. Therefore the waveform monitor can display the HDTV waveform line by line even though the HDTV and SDTV signals have different numbers of lines per field. The waveform monitor can be used to measure phase difference between television signals of difference formats, such as the HDTV and the SDTV.

  • Patent number: 6125631
Abstract: A method and apparatus of operating a combination power plant which includes at least one large diesel engine provided with a turbocharger connected to receive exhaust gas from the engine, an exhaust gas boiler connected to receive exhaust gas from the turbocharger for utilizing heat energy in the exhaust gas to produce pressurized steam, and a steam turbine for converting energy in the steam produced by the exhaust gas boiler to electrical energy. When the engine is running at a high power output rate, a side flow of exhaust gas is removed from the flow of exhaust gas upstream of the turbocharger, the side flow being below 20% of the total exhaust gas flow from the engine. Heat energy in the side flow gas is used to refine the steam produced by the exhaust gas boiler before feeding it into the steam turbine.

  • Patent number: 6115645
Abstract: A semiconductor tester at a first station includes a device handler operating under control of a first computer located at the first station. The handler is provided with a video camera having an output connected to a port of the first computer. A second computer, which includes a display monitor, is located at a second station, which is remote from the first station, and the first and second computers are connected in a computer network. The video camera is employed to acquire an image of the handler and the video camera provides the first computer with video data representative of this image. The video data is transmitted over the computer network to the second computer and is provided to the display monitor, whereby the image acquired by the video camera can be viewed on the display monitor. Information regarding operation of the device handler is transmitted from the second station to the first station.
