Patent number: 5590598Abstract: A horizontal slide mechanism for removably replacing an inking unit set in a rotary offset printing press of the type having a plate cylinder, a blanket cylinder and an impression cylinder having parallel rotational axes. The horizontal slide mechanism includes a guide track rigidly mounted to the printing press adjacent and parallel to the plate, blanket and impression cylinders. A slide plate is supported in the guide track for guided movement parallel to the plate, blanket and impression cylinder transverse to the printing press. A pivot mount is attached to the slide plate and is pivotably attached to the inking unit. The pivot mount on the slide plate provides a single pivot axis parallel to the rotational axes of the plate, blanket and impression cylinders, and is positioned spaced apart from the plate cylinder for pivoting the inking unit between a first and a second pivot position.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 1995Date of Patent: January 7, 1997Inventor: James J. Patent number: 5554013Abstract: A fluid infusion pump includes a disposable cassette having an inlet, an outlet, and a fluid chamber between the inlet and the outlet. There is a fixed wall of the fluid chamber and a movable wall of the fluid chamber. A pump body receives the cassette in a fixed operating relationship such that an actuator in the pump body is activatable for reciprocal advancement and retraction with respect to the cassette and is adapted to confront the movable diaphragm when the cassette is received in the pump body. There is a detachable coupling between the actuator mounted in the pump body and the movable wall so that fluid is expelled from the fluid chamber on advancement of the actuator and positively drawn into the fluid chamber upon retraction of the actuator.Type: GrantFiled: July 27, 1994Date of Patent: September 10, 1996Assignee: McGaw, Inc.Inventors: Dana J. Owens, Aaron Raines, Ed G. Rasmussen, David G. Ozinga, David J. Harrison, Carl R. Anderson

Patent number: 5555163Abstract: A miniature light string display container for selectively displaying a plurality of light bulbs of a miniature light string in a desired arrangement, including a container with a front display panel having an array of regularly spaced mounting openings therethrough, which openings are sized for securely receiving light bulbs of a light string at least partially therethrough in a desired arrangement or pattern which is selectable on the array of mounting openings. The display container also includes a reversibly openable entry panel with a closed position and an open position, in which open position a rear surface of the display panel may be accessed. Electrical connection wire is extendable through the display container, when closed, for connecting the string of lights to an electrical power source, so that the pattern of inserted light bulbs is illuminated.Type: GrantFiled: February 9, 1995Date of Patent: September 10, 1996Inventor: Richard R. Patent number: 5551759Abstract: A dual use belly-dumping and end-dumping vehicle includes a frame mounted on wheels for transport and a pivotable hopper carried in the frame. A lower pivot element is mounted to the frame with a corresponding lower pivot engaging element mounted on the hopper. An upper pivot element is also mounted on the frame with a corresponding upper pivot engaging element mounted on the hopper. Lifting cylinders are mounted between sides of the frame and sides of the hopper for pivoting the hopper at the lower pivot element between a horizontally held position and a first angled position at which the hopper is disengaged from the lower pivoted element and engaged at the upper pivot element so that it is pivoted to a second angled position for dumping materials from the end of the hopper.Type: GrantFiled: February 22, 1995Date of Patent: September 3, 1996Assignee: JHC Ventures, L.P.Inventors: Gregg M. Hoss, James E. Thompson, Thomas F. Johnson, Martin Kirbie, Andrew J. Speer, III
