The bag is constructed of at least two layers, a first layer constructed of woven materials and a second layer constructed of non-woven materials.
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods of either treating or preventing cancer and novel compositions relevant to that treatment and prevention. More particularly, this invention relates to compounds which share features with (Z)-5-(4-hydroxybenzylidene)imidazolidine-2,4-dione and (Z)-5-(4-S-ethylbenzylidene)imidazolidine-2,4-dione and anti-cancer uses for those compounds. Embodiments of the present invention include methods that have anti-cancer effects including anti-metastatic, anti-growth, and anti-invasive activities.
Abstract: A chipless RFID tag system having a transmitter sending an input signal and a tag substrate. The tag substrate has at least one microstrip and the microstrip has a first portion with a first impedance and a second portion with a second impedance different from the first impedance. The system further includes a receiver detecting at least two reflections from an interface of the first and second impedances and identifying relative time domain positions of the reflections to one another.
Abstract: A bioherbicide and method of use utilizing the fungus Myrothecium verrucaria for controlling Salvinia molesta. In typical applications, the fungus is applied with an adjuvant to Salvinia molesta in amounts effective to kill or suppress the Salvinia molesta. A strain of Myrothecium verrucaria is on deposit with the Department of Biological Sciences, Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, La., and with the patent collection of the International Mycological Institute in Surrey, United Kingdom, where it has been assigned deposit number IMI 368023.

Abstract: A sorptive-filtration system for removing at least one of negatively or positively charged ions, complexes or particulates from an aqueous stream. The system includes a) flow formed substantially from at least one of rainfall-runoff or snowmelt-runoff; b) a filter containment communicating with the runoff stream such that at least part of the stream passes through the filter containment; and c) a granular filter media disposed within the filter containment, the filter media having an amphoteric material applied thereto, wherein the amphoteric material comprises a metal selected from at least one of Fe, Al, Mn, or Si.
Abstract: The invention is a method of detecting CAD in a CKD diagnosed human patient or CKD in a CAD diagnosed human patient, or detection of the presence of both CKD and CAD by assaying a plasma or serum sample of a human patient for elevated levels of BMP-4.

Abstract: A vessel constructed with a series of hull, bulkhead, and/or deck panels. The vessel includes a vessel frame and multi-panel sections attached to the frame. The multi-section panels include a plurality of elongated cold formed steel sections welded together. The sections include a flat segment and a web segment, where the flat segment is wider than the web segment. The multi-panel section is attached to the vessel frame and the flat segments form the hull, bulkhead, or deck of the vessel.

Abstract: A method of predicting a SYN flooding attack on a server. The method tracks the number of SYN signals received (or SYN+ACK signals sent) over the communications port of the server in a specified time interval, the arrival estimation window. The invention then predicts the number of anticipated ACK, RST or ACK+RST signals to be received over the communication port within a predetermined time length prediction window. The prediction may be made at multiple points within the prediction window. The prediction window is offset in time from the arrival estimation window. The prediction of ACK signals to be received is based upon the number of SYN signals received or SYN+ACK signals sent in the arrival estimation window. In one embodiment, a polynomial is fit to the data in the Arrival estimation window and extrapolated to the prediction window.

Abstract: The invention provides a chair armrest that is variably adjustable to allow a user to assume an ergonomically preferred sitting position. The ergonomic chair armrest comprises, either separately or together, an arm support assembly capable of adjustment to various positions through a vertical plane and an arm pad assembly capable of adjustment to various positions through a horizontal plane. The invention further provides an ergonomic chair having an armrest that is adjustable in both a vertical plane and a horizontal plane.
Abstract: A method of positioning lumber in a given orientation in a handling apparatus having a base frame, a longitudinal transport assembly, and at least two gripper arm support platforms with a pair of gripper arms positioned on each of the support platforms. A work piece is gripped with the gripper arms without the work piece engaging the longitudinal transport assembly. The gripper arms are adjusted on at least one of the support platforms in a direction generally perpendicular to the longitudinal transport assembly in order to selectively position the work piece. The work piece is then brought into engagement with the transport assembly and the gripper arms are released from the work piece.
