  • Patent number: 8040499
Abstract: A transmitted light refractometer allows high measurement accuracy across a broad measurement range, even under difficult measuring conditions. The transmitted light refractometer can be connected to a process simply via a single access. In accordance with advantageous features, the transmitted light refractometer covers a measurement range for all practically relevant media and includes integrated temperature compensation. A reversing optics unit is arranged relative to an illumination optics unit such that the reversing optics unit deflects a parallel beam through the process liquid and a measurement prism into the transmitted light refractometer back to the side from which it was radiated. The illumination optics unit, an imaging optics unit, and a detector plane are arranged on the light radiation side such that only one process access is needed.

  • Patent number: 8027176
Abstract: In a RCC type switching power supply circuit, a sensing coil connected magnetically closely with an output coil is equipped in a fly-back transformer. The sensing coil is connected with a timing condenser through a Zener diode and an alternate current voltage output from the sensing coil is rectified and smoothed. Then, the difference between a detection voltage detected as a direct current voltage of the secondary side and the basic voltage of the Zener diode is supplied to the timing condenser to change the discharge/charge time and then change the timing of the switching of a first switching element in order to control the switching time of the first switching element. At the same time, applying the voltage which results from rectifying and smoothing the output voltage from the sensing coil, the charge and discharge of the timing condenser at the non-loading time is controlled in order to prolong the cycle of the switching oscillation and consequently, reduce the power loss.

  • Patent number: 8025819
Abstract: The present invention provides a plastic lens which can simplify the installation, can enhance the forming accuracy and can exhibit extremely small optical irregularities. Molds having a planned combination are heated, using at least one pre-numerically controlled automatic chucking transport device and/or manually, the molds are constituted to be sequentially overlapped in accordance with the combination. First of all, an optical thermoplastic resin molten material having an extremely small agitation flow is placed on a forming surface of one lower mold. Subsequently, a forming surface of another upper mold is brought into contact with the resin molten material by inclining the posture of the upper mold, and both molds are made to approach each other to define a given distance therebetween so as to form a lens by pressing the resin molten material.

  • Patent number: 8020458
Abstract: In a sample introducing system that can be easily adapted to a variety of analytical conditions without being affected by a flow rate of gas introduced into an analytical device, can introduce an analytical sample into the analytical device without loss, and can contribute to a simple and highly accurate high-sensitivity analysis, a pretreatment device removes unnecessary components from an untreated sample gas containing the analytical sample. A treated sample gas that has been pretreated by the pretreatment device is introduced into the analytical device via a connection gas flow channel. A gas addition device that adds a carrier gas to the treated sample gas flowing toward the analytical device in the connection gas flow channel has a means for changing the addition flow rate of the carrier gas. Pressure fluctuations of the gas containing the analytical sample are restricted by a pressure adjusting device upstream of the gas addition device.

  • Patent number: 8021495
Abstract: Provided are a simple and inexpensive cleaning apparatus and a method for cleaning capable of effectively cleaning the outer wall surface of a pipette. A pipette to be cleaned is positioned in a concave portion of the cleaning apparatus, and a cleaning liquid passed through inside of the pipette strikes an inner circumferential surface of the concave portion and bounces therefrom to splash against the outer wall surface of the pipette, thereby cleaning the outer surface. With above arrangement, without using an ejection apparatus of cleaning water, effect equivalent to that with the ejection apparatus can be attained. Furthermore, both the inner wall surface and the outer wall surface of the pipette can be cleaned by a single operation using the same cleaning water, thereby attaining easy internal cleaning work and short cleaning time.

  • Patent number: 8017878
Abstract: The present invention protects a mass sensor from an overload in any direction. A support structure is accommodated in a case, has a floating frame provided on one end side and a fixed portion provided on the other end side, receives a load of an object to be weighed placed on a scale pan with the aid of the floating frame part, and supports the mass sensor used in scales to detect the mass of the object to be weighed. The support structure has a spring member for supporting the mass sensor, and is interposed between the fixed portion and the case, which are structural members. The spring member is elastically deformed in advance to thereby press/urge on the fixed portion of the mass sensor and cause the portion to come into contact with the structural member side. The spring member deforms elastically so that the fixed portion separates from the contact location when a force greater than the pressing/urging force is applied.
