Abstract: The device is for coupling, attachments or accessories to a bench-type exercising apparatus for use in performing arm and leg exercises. The attachments are movable and have multi-positionable body engagement elements. The coupling attachments consist of a rectangular tubular support for the attachment dimensioned to fit into the rectangular tubular support for supporting the bench, having a forwardly extending C-shaped slot dimension to fit about a pin passing through an aperture in the bench support and a movable pin passing through aligned apertures in the bench support and the tubular support.
Abstract: A process for significantly improving the physical and catalytic properties of faujasite containing fluid cracking catalysts (FCC) employing a sol binder by incorporating acid stable surfactants into the catalyst component streams prior to spray drying.

Abstract: A building block-like PTC thermistor heating element is disclosed which comprises a ceramic semiconductor body having a positive temperature coefficient of resistance. The partition walls of the building block-like ceramic body provide the passages of the air flow. Ohmic electrodes are deposited on the opposite side of the major surface of the ceramic body so that when connected to an electrical source the electrical current flows across the partition walls in a direction normal to the axis of the air flow. The building block-like thermistor is very easy to fabricate and is very strong in structure so that high yield and improved mechanical strength can be achieved.
Abstract: An exercise device in which the bench board member is mounted on a tubular bench pad beam having a sliding adjuster positioned therein. The bench board member is adjustable to four separate positions by manipulation of the bench pad beam.
Abstract: A laboratory apparatus for continuously producing high purity distilled water includes a distillation flask, a carboy and condenser unit. A double walled microwave oven with a spacing between the walls, large enough to accommodate piping and valving means for controlling the flow of water to the distillation flask. The microwave oven supplies the heat to the system.
Abstract: A new class of macrocylic polyethers having a crown ether attached to a steroid by various connector units have been prepared. These novel structures have applications as ionophores and they form unique, nonionic vesicles (niosomes).

Abstract: A process for the direct preparation of N,N-di-substituted derivatives of 4,13-diaza-18-crown-6 in which the substituents on both nitrogen atoms are identical and derive originally from an amine, by reacting a 1,8-diiodo-3,6-dioxooctane or derivatives thereof in which the substituents are located on positions 1, 2, 4, 5, 7 or 8 or combinations thereof, with a molar equivalent of a primary amine in the presence of a base and solvent.
