Abstract: A method, apparatus and data structure enabling multiple channel data stream transmission by inserting data to be transmitted into portions of a plurality of transport streams nominally including NULL packets. The inserted packets have associated with them stream identification and sequence code information enabling the reconstruction of the initial data stream using data packets transmitted via a plurality of data channels.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of preprocessing a video image sequence consisting of a succession of interlaced frames for estimating motion between a first and a second frame, characterized in that a temporal filtering is performed on the basis of at least two input frames so as to deliver each of the two frames utilized by the motion estimator. The applications relate to motion estimators, in the field of video image compression or the conversion of television standards.
Abstract: A circuit reduces the total number of resistors needed to provide the reference voltages to the plurality of comparators in a flash analog-to-digital converter. In such a circuit, a first string of unit resistances having a first plurality of taps is coupled to a second string of unit resistances having first and second ends and a second plurality of taps between the ends. A first active device has an input coupled to a first tap of the first string of unit resistances and an output coupled to the first end of the second string of unit resistances. A second active device has an input coupled to a second tap of the first string of unit resistances and an output coupled to the second end of the second string of unit resistances.
