Abstract: A tool for inserting an elastic sleeve on a shaft which consists of two independent semicircular members adapted to be used in edge-to-edge relationship which are tapered toward one end and have pivot points at the bases of the taper such that the tapered ends can be inserted into the sleeve and the ends then spread to stretch the sleeve, the tube defined by the semicircular members together being bigger than the shaft such that the tool with the stretched sleeve end can be drawn down over the shaft to attach the sleeve to it.
