Abstract: A sports watch band of stretchable, washable, absorbent material is easily attached or removed from a sports watch by one or more bands inserted through the space between the watch's frame body and pin and secured to the stretchable band using a hook-and-loop or buckle closure.
Abstract: A hygienic panty is comprised of a front portion, a back portion, and a crotch portion, and if desired, side portions, conventionally joined to form a waist opening and two leg openings, the crotch portion comprising an outer layer made from a waterproof material and an inner layer of any suitable material, and the front portion and back portion comprising an outer layer made from a waterproof material, an inner layer, and at least one absorbent interliner sandwiched between the inner layer and outer layer.
Abstract: An improved lamp for use with travel trailers, motorhomes, recreational vehicles, temporary shelters, and the like, has an automatic photosensor-actuated on/off control circuit and shielding to protect the photosensor from the effects of stray light sources.
Abstract: A quickly-disconnecting coupling suitable for use in a fuel dispensing system reduces fluid pressure-generated axial separation forces on the coupling. A first body member has one or more fluid passages therethrough in fluid communication with corresponding fluid passages through a second body member. A detent is provided to couple the body members to each other in flow communication and to uncouple them when a force in excess of a predetermined level is exerted on the coupling. The detent may be frangible or infrangible. Means are provided to hold the first and second body members in axial juxtaposition with each other. Valving is provided for sealing fluid passages against loss of fluid when the detent releases the first and second body members from axial juxtaposition.
Abstract: A toroidal magnet for confining a high magnetic field for use in fusion reactor research and nuclear particle detection. The magnet includes a series of conductor elements arranged about and fixed at its small major radius portion to the outer surface of a central cylindrical support each conductor element having a geometry such as to maintain the conductor elements in pure tension when a high current flows therein, and a support assembly which redistributes all or part of the tension which would otherwise arise in the small major radius portion of each coil element to the large major radius portion thereof.
