Abstract: A cosmetic composition having improved transfer resistance comprising:a) from about 0.1-70% of a copolymer which is an adhesive at room temperature,b) from about 0.1-60% by weight of a volatile solvent having a viscosity of 0.5 to 20 centipoise at 25.degree. C.,c) 0.1-60% by weight of a nonvolatile oil,d) 0.1-80% dry particulate matter.

Abstract: A composition for oxidative dyeing of hair comprising, by weight of the total composition:0.0001-20% of at least one primary intermediate and at least one coupler for the formation of oxidation dyes,0.01-10% of a 2-hydroxyphenyl benzotriazole compound which absorbs ultraviolet radiation in the wavelength range of 200 to 400 nanometers,0.5-20% surfactant, and10-65% water; a two component kit containing the hair dye composition and a developer, and a method for oxidative dyeing of hair with said kit.

Abstract: An anhydrous cosmetic stick composition with improved transfer resistance and lustre finish comprising, by weight of the total composition:a) 10-70% of a volatile solvent having a viscosity of 0.5 to 20 centipoise at 25.degree. C.,b) 0.5-40% of a guerbet ester, andc) 0.1-20% of a siloxy silicate polymer.

Abstract: A dispenser for a cosmetic stick comprising (a) a removable cap in the form of a sleeve having an open upper end, for containing the cosmetic stick, (b) a base in the form of a sleeve having an open upper end, (c) fitted inside the base sleeve, an internal sleeve open at both ends for containing the cosmetic stick, (d) a product advancing mechanism comprising a platform which forms the bottom closure of the internal tubular sleeve, the platform having an upper surface having two protrusions affixed thereto, and a lower surface, and (e) a porous material affixed to the upper surface of the platform and securing the cosmetic stick to the platform.

Abstract: A method for styling hair using a hair styling device which comprises a flat disk made of a flexible plastic material. The flat disk has a central core with an aperture of a size sufficient to permit a tress of hair to be pulled through it, and a plurality of arms radiating from the core. The tress of hair pulled through the aperture is then wound through the plurality of arms in a desired configuration.

Abstract: A cosmetic stick composition comprising:a) 5-60% of a volatile silicone,b) 3-25% of a solidifying agent, andc) 10-40% of a gel composition comprised of a hydrocarbon oil contained within a polymer network formed by a synthetic diblock copolymer, a triblock copolymer, or mixtures thereof.
