Abstract: Disclosed is a continuous line process for making a pre-formed object having a plurality of surfaces comprising the steps of: (1) providing a sol phase of the composition comprising a solvent and a gelling agent having a sol-gel transition point between about the melting point of the solvent and about the boiling point of the solvent; (2) forming surfaces of the sol phase composition by passing through a surface forming system, the surface forming system pressing the sol phase composition between a plurality of liners; (3) cooling the sol phase composition into a gel phase; and (4) cutting the gel phase composition; wherein the pre-formed object is free of a supporting substrate.

Abstract: A continuous line process for making a packaged cosmetic device comprising a pre-formed sheet and a coating composition in a sealed package, wherein the pre-formed sheet is produced from a sol phase composition comprising a solvent and a gelling agent having a sol-gel transition point between about the melting point of the solvent and about the boiling point of the solvent by a process comprising heating the so phase composition, forming surfaces of the sol phase composition by pressing the sol phase composition between a plurality of liners, cooling the sol phase composition into a gel phase, cutting the gel phase composition to form the pre-formed sheet.

Abstract: Disclosed is a device for penetrating a skin active agent to the human body via the skin by the use of an ultrasound applying apparatus which applies ultrasound to the human body via the skin, comprising: (1) composition comprising: (a) safe and effective amount of the skin active agent; (b) a viscosifying agent that provides the composition a viscosity of from about 1,000 mPas to about 1,000,000 mPas; (c) from about 0.1% to about 30% of a water-soluble humectant; and (d) an aqueous carrier; wherein the composition is substantially free of surfactants; and (2) the ultrasound applying apparatus comprising: (e) an application element for applying to the skin ultrasound at a frequency of from about 3 MHz to about 10 MHz and an intensity of from about 0.1 W/cm2 to about 2 W/cm2; and (f) a control element for controlling application conditions of the application element.

Abstract: Disclosed is a water-in-oil emulsified sunscreen composition comprising by weight: (a) an effective amount of a UV protection agent; (b) from about 0.1% to about 70% of a non-thickening oil absorbing powder having a mineral oil absorbing ability of at least about 40 ml/100 g; (c) at least about 10% of the entire composition of water; and (d) an oil phase comprising: (i) at least about 50% by weight of the oil phase of a volatile silicone oil; and (ii) from about 0.1% to less than the oil absorbing ability of the non-thickening oil absorbing powder of a non-volatile oil; wherein when the UV protection agent is a non-volatile liquid of hydrophobic nature, it is considered the non-volatile oil.
