Abstract: An apparatus and method for supporting a circuit board within a computer chassis is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a standoff support mounted in a channel so that the standoff can be positioned along the length of the channel by moving or sliding the standoff within the channel. This movable standoff facilitates the mounting of a variety of circuit boards within the same computer chassis.

Abstract: A clip structure for supporting ornamental items on a pew support includes a mounting portion for gripping a portion of a pew support. The mounting portion has a pair of opposite inner and outer faces, a pair of side edges, and a pair of end edges. The mounting portion includes an elongate longitudinal extent having opposite end regions, a pair of transverse extents each extending from one of the end regions of the longitudinal extent in a generally transverse orientation to the longitudinal extent, a pair of return extents each extending from one of the transverse extents, with each of the return extents extending towards each other. The mounting portion includes a pair of free end extents each extending from one of the return extents. Optionally, the clip includes a securing portion mounting on the mounting portion for removably securing an ornamental item on the mounting portion.

Abstract: A client device, or information appliance such as a personal digital assistant, is capable of receiving multimedia data streams from a server. However, due to processing and display capabilities, the client device may not be able to present the complete data stream, or a user may elect to configure the client device not to process data that will unduly reduce the client device's performance. Accordingly, the present invention provides a method and apparatus for allowing a server to determine the native, or user selected, capabilities of a client device, such that the server can filter and parse the data into meaningfully presentable data and non-meaningfully presentable data, and then transmit only the meaningfully presentable data to the client device for processing and display.

Abstract: A system for organizing elongated objects (such as wires, cables, pipes, hoses, ducts, tubing, and other similar items) into bundles to create a more uniform, neat and functional arrangement is disclosed. The system includes a fastener adapted to extend along the length of an elongated object. The fastener provides a continuous attachment to another elongated object or to another object for a distance along the length of the elongated object. The fastener is preferably integrated with the structure of the elongated object, or alternatively, it may be applied as a wrap around the elongated object.

Abstract: A fore end wrench for removing a locking nut from a slide action of a pump action shotgun. The fore end wrench includes a body member being designed for being inserted into the locking nut of the slide action of the shotgun. The body member is designed for supporting the locking nut of the shotgun. An engagement member extends through the body member. The engagement member is designed for engaging channels of the locking nut whereby rotation of the body member by a user rotates the engagement member against the locking nut for rotating the locking nut to remove the locking nut from the slide action to allow removal of the slide from the slide action.

Abstract: A method for automatic selection of databases for improving the efficiency of data capture and management systems. The method for automatic selection of databases includes obtaining a candidate database listing providing a uniform resource locator (URL) for each one of a plurality of candidate databases to be considered during selection, obtaining a query from a user, matching a subset of candidate databases to said query, and storing a listing of selected databases to be used for retrieving information relative to said query.

Abstract: A door opening inhibiting apparatus includes a hinge restricting member for mounting on a hinge. The restricting member has first and second ends, lateral sides, and a forward surface for orienting toward a door. The restricting member comprises a mounting portion for mounting on the door hinge, and a pair of wing portions extending laterally outward from the mounting portion. The mounting portion includes a channel for receiving a portion of the barrel of the hinge. The channel opens into the first end of the restricting member and extends from the first end toward the second end of the restricting member. A slot is provided for receiving a portion of the leaves of the hinge when a portion of the barrel is positioned in the channel, and is in communication with the channel. The slot extends from the first end of the restricting member toward the second end.

Abstract: A motion activated decorative article that includes a housing, and a perceptible output generator for generating an output perceptible by a person, with the perceptible output generator generating the perceptible output upon receipt of a trigger signal. A triggering circuit triggers the perceptible output generator by generating the trigger signal and passing the triggering signal to the perceptible output generator upon receipt of an activating signal. A movement detection circuit detects movement of the housing and generates an activating signal upon detection of movement and passes the activating signal to the triggering circuit. One detection circuit embodiment includes a pair of conductors on a surface in a substantially equidistant relationship to each other and in a spiral path, and a conductor member movable across the surface for creating an electrical connection between the conductors when the conductor member contacts portions of both conductors simultaneously.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing improved efficiency in data browsing is disclosed. Automatic continuation of a data browsing session is enabled, while a download of a requested data file, that has been temporarily delayed, is handled separately in a background process. This separate background process generates additional requests for the requested data file as needed, thereby overcoming delays caused by transient network traffic and also enabling automatic downloading of data files that are undeliverable when first requested. When the download of the requested data file is successfully completed, a notification is provided and the requested data file is made observable.

Abstract: A self-metering feed dispensing system including a feed supply hopper having an interior for receiving feed. The feed supply hopper has upper and lower portions, with the upper portion extending over the lower portion and being removably mounted on the lower portion for permitting access to the interior. The lower portion may comprise a pair of hopper sections each terminating at a bottom of the lower portion in an outlet with an opening. The hopper sections may each have a perimeter wall converging toward the outlet and diverging away from the outlet. Optionally, the system may include a feed delivery tube extending downwardly from the feed supply hopper and having an upper end being in fluid communication with interior of the feed supply hopper and having a lower end, and a feed trough below the feed del very tube for holding feed delivered by the feed delivery tube.

Abstract: A skid loader attachment for increasing the versatility and ease of use of the skid loader. The skid loader attachment includes a frame assembly having a base portion. The base portion is designed for coupling to booms of a skid loader. The frame assembly has a plurality of tines. The tines forwardly extend from the base portion of the frame assembly opposite the skid loader. A plurality of arm assemblies are coupled to the base portion of the frame assembly. Each of the arm assemblies are articulated such that each of the arm; assemblies is positionable with respect to the frame assembly. Each of the arm assemblies are adapted for being operationally coupled to the skid loader such that articulation of each of the arm assemblies is controlled by an operator of the skid loader. The arm assemblies are adapted for facilitating manipulation of materials engaged by said frame assembly.

Abstract: An engine block cylinder groove cleaner for cleaning the grooves in the cylinder of a diesel engine. The engine block cylinder groove cleaner includes a main housing comprising a lower portion. A plurality of groove cleaning members each being outwardly extendable from the lower portion. The groove cleaning member scrapes out debris from a circumferential groove when the main housing is rotated.

Abstract: A cart loading system for loading materials on a cart in a orderly and compact manner even if the materials being loaded have different dimensions. The cart loading system includes a frame for positioning on a floor surface adjacent to a material shaping table, and at least one material support arm assembly for moving a piece of material from the material shaping table to a position over the frame. A carriage assembly is provided for moving a material cart in a first direction and a second direction with respect to the frame, and includes a subframe movable in the second direction on the frame and a shuttle mounted movable in the first direction with respect to the subframe. A first moving assembly is provided for moving the shuttle in the first direction on the subframe, and a second moving assembly is provided for moving the carriage assembly in the second direction on the frame. A detection assembly detects movement of material on the support arm assembly and generates a detection signal.

Abstract: A bale transporting apparatus includes a frame, and ground engaging apparatus mounted on the frame for supporting the frame above a ground surface and permitting movement of the frame across the ground surface. A bed assembly holds collected bales thereon and includes a bed being mounted on the frame. A bale unloading assembly unloads bales from the bed; and a bale loading assembly loads a bale onto the bed. A hitch assembly may be collapsible for permitting a portion of the hitch assembly to lie substantially flat on the ground surface in a collapsed position.

Abstract: An exhaust diverter for selectively attenuating exhaust volume includes a first pipe for fluidly coupling to and positioning between the engine and the muffler. A second pipe has a first end and a second end. The first end of the second pipe is fluidly coupled to the first pipe. An exhaust pipe is fluidly coupled to the second end of the second pipe. A valve system selectively opens and closes passages through the first and second pipes. The valve system includes a first valve positioned in the first pipe and a second valve positioned in the second pipe. An actuator is mechanically coupled to the valves for selectively opening and closing the first and second valves such that one of the valves simultaneously opens when the other of the valves closes.

Abstract: A bearing support for facilitating removal and replacement of a bearing and supporting the rotatable shaft while the bearing is removed from the shaft. The bearing support includes a bearing support including a bearing mounting structure for being supported on the machine. A bearing assembly is provided for receiving a portion of the shaft. A bearing housing assembly is positioned between the bearing assembly and the bearing mounting structure. The bearing assembly is supported on the bearing housing assembly and the bearing housing assembly is supported on the bearing mounting structure. The bearing housing assembly is removable from the bearing mounting structure prior to removal of the bearing assembly from the shaft for facilitating removal of the bearing assembly from the shaft. Another aspect of the invention includes a shaft support system for facilitating removal and replacement of a bearing assembly adapted for supporting a shaft on a machine.

Abstract: A combine header attachment system for preventing grain and crop heads from falling onto the ground when the crops are being combined. The combine header attachment system includes a plurality of brace members each being designed for coupling to a header of a combine. Each of a plurality of channel members are coupled to an associated one of the brace members. Each of the channel members has a hook portion. The hook portion of each of the channel members extends from a free end of an associated one of the channel members. The hook portion of each of the channel members is for inhibiting the crop heads from falling off of the free end of the associated one of the channel members.

Abstract: A tanker hatch system for permitting remote opening and closing of a hatch opening in a tank. The tanker hatch system includes a collar wall for mounting on an upper wall of a tank and extending about an opening in the upper wall for defining a channel into an interior of the tank. The channel includes an axis. A cover slidably mounted on the collar wall is provided for selectively closing the channel. The cover is movable in a plane oriented generally perpendicular to the axis of the channel. The cover includes a closed position wherein the cover closes the channel in the collar wall and an open position wherein the channel in the collar wall is substantially unobstructed by the cover. A moving mechanism is provided for moving the cover between the closed and open positions.

Abstract: A fluid heater system with tiltable heater assembly for facilitating the performance of maintenance on the heater assembly. The fluid heater system with tiltable heater assembly includes a support frame and a heater assembly mounted on the support frame. The heater assembly comprises a combustion chamber and a burner apparatus for burning fuel in the combustion chamber. The heater assembly is pivotally mounted on the support frame for permitting pivoting of the heater assembly in a substantially vertical plane with respect to the support frame such that the heater assembly is pivotable between an operational position and a maintenance position. The operational position is characterized by a central axis of the combustion chamber being oriented in a substantially vertical direction and the maintenance position is characterized by the central axis being rotated from the substantially vertical direction toward a generally horizontal direction.

Abstract: A finger mountable device for controlling a computer using a compact and highly portable control that does not need to be rested on a surface. The finger mountable device for controlling a computer includes a housing for mounting on a finger of a user. The housing has a front wall and a rear wall and a perimeter wall extending between the front and rear walls. The housing has a finger aperture for receiving a finger of a user's hand. The finger aperture extends through the housing between the front and rear walls. A first control is mounted on the housing for controlling movement of a cursor on the computer. The first control may comprise a knob movable in a plurality of radial directions for effecting a movement of the cursor in a corresponding direction. Further, the knob may be movable inward toward the housing for causing transmission of a first signal to a computer. Optionally, a second control may be provided on the housing for causing transmission of a second signal to a computer.
