  • Patent number: 5704158
Abstract: A tackle management system for securely organizing fishing tackle or the like. The system comprises a cabinet with a passageway for removing and inserting boxes within the cabinet. Boxes are sized for storage within the cabinet. The cabinet includes a series of access and storage channels mounted along an inner surface of the cabinet. Each box includes a channel engager for interlocking with a channel. The channel engager provides for rearrangement of the boxes within the cabinet without disengagement of the boxes from the channels. A method of drying tackle while contained in a fishing tackle-enclosure by providing the enclosure with at least two openings and forcing air in through one of the openings and out through another opening.

  • Patent number: 5662096
Abstract: A trigger to initiate crystallization of a supercooled aqueous salt solution of a heat pack, thereby liberating heat. The trigger, when activated, pierces the container, allowing the salt solution to contact salt crystals, and initiate crystallization of the solution. A seal over the trigger prevents the solution from leaking from the heat pack. Optionally, the heat pack contains a flexible foam rubber pad immersed in the salt solution in the container to prevent saddlebagging.

  • Patent number: 5645296
Abstract: This invention relates to an air bag inflation gas generator used to inflate air bags such as air bags for impact safety devices, life jackets, rafts, and escape chutes, and aims to simplify its structure extensively as compared with prior art and to make the device compact easily. Combustion gas produced when gas generating agents are burnt passes through a gas filter which is disposed inside the outer wall of a combustion chamber and flows from gas outlets of the outer wall directly into an air bag. When the combustion gas passes through the gas filter, residues contained in the combustion gas is collected by the gas filter to purify the combustion gas. And, the combustion gas produced when gas generating agents are burnt is changed its passage by gas passage changing means, and the residues contained in the combustion gas are collected between a partition member and the gas passage changing means before the combustion gas enters the gas filter.

  • Patent number: 5626876
Abstract: The invention relates to a floatable, oral, therapeutic system, in which a lengthening of the gastrointestinal residence time of medicaments and a controlled delivery thereof are achieved by systems, which are specifically lighter than the gastric fluid, float on the latter and can only with difficulty reach the lower-lying pylorus, said system using at least one structural element with cavities or voids, such as foams or hollow bodies.

  • Patent number: 5619073
Abstract: A batch process produces unitary grains of propellant material. A constituent mixture of the material is prepared by mixing constituents while heating to at least a predetermined pouring temperature within a permissible temperature range. The constituent mixture is poured into a mold, while vibrating it to avoid voids or interfaces within the material, to cast a block of propellant. The cast block is cured for a predetermined period resulting in a cured, cast block of semirigid yet plasticly deformable material. A hydraulic press with a ram carrying a tubular cutting die is positioned, as by transferring the mold without its bottom to the press bed, for permitting grains to be cut by movement of the press ram by forcing the cutting die into the cast block to cut from the block a grain of the propellant material, then extracting the grain for further use. The cutting cycle is repeated until the cast block has yielded a satisfactory number of grains.

  • Patent number: 5614887
Abstract: A patient monitoring system and method include a neuro-sensory motor stimulator which is applied to a patient. A resetting device and a stimulating device are in contact with the patient, and upon activating the resetting device, the stimulating device is turned off. If the monitored patient fails to timely activate the resetting device, an alarm sounds to alert medical personnel that the patient is in need of attention. The method provides for setting a first timer which controls stimulations and setting a second timer which controls the time period between stimulations and sounding of an alarm.

  • Patent number: 5605085
Abstract: A circle cutting device for selectively rotatably retaining a workpiece in a jigsaw permits a user of the circle cutting device to cut accurate circles with the jigsaw. The circle cutting device includes an elongated track secured to the jigsaw, and further includes a housing having an upper portion slidably adjustably attached to the elongated track for location at a preselected position and a lower portion with a centrally located opening therein. A pin is positioned in the centrally located opening of the lower portion of the housing and extends a predetermined distance from the opening for selectively engaging a workpiece and maintaining the workpiece in a preselected position in relation to the jigsaw, thereby providing a pivot point for rotatably retaining the workpiece in the jigsaw so as to permit the user of the jigsaw to accurately cut circles from the workpiece.
