Patent number: 8348254Abstract: This invention concerns a carpet stand for lifting carpet, containing a rigid lift tip body along its long axis, further containing a support rod and a lifting tip. The lifting tip itself lies tangent to the exterior of the rigid lift tip's body, and perpendicular to its long axis, and is shaped such that it may grip or hold onto, into the backing of a carpet. The support rod itself is sized so that it may pass through the backing of a carpet. The support rod is then inserted down through the carpet such that the lift tip will grip and raise the carpet a distance sufficient to separate a carpet from its supporting surface.Type: GrantFiled: August 10, 2010Date of Patent: January 8, 2013Inventor: Robert Blu Mooney

Patent number: 7904969Abstract: This invention comprises of one-time single-use gloves made from latex or vinyl that have a built in pocket space on the outside surface (the term “outside surface” refers to the surface of the glove that is distal from the body of the wearer) of the glove in palm and fingers areas that have tiny surface holes on the outside surface of the pocket to allow dispensing of solution that is sealed under a plastic pull back tab. Once the tab is pulled back, the solution can be forced out of the pocket's tiny holes located on the outside surface of the pocket, by squeezing the hands gently for small amounts or firmly to allow larger amounts of solution. These gloves can be produced to be sterile or non-sterile, depending on the need of the product. The purpose of these gloves are to provide a one time use solution to administering topical solutions, medication and shampoos to human and animal patients, providing a sterile approach when necessary, provide a barrier to disease between the caregiver and patient.Type: GrantFiled: March 31, 2008Date of Patent: March 15, 2011Inventor: Carolanne Marie Greenfield

Patent number: 7815220Abstract: A steering column assembly for a vehicle comprising an intermediate assembly which is slideably disposed within a lower assembly so that the intermediate assembly may be moved between an extended and a retracted position. Further, the steering column assembly contains an upper assembly which is pivotally coupled to one end of the intermediate assembly so as to permit the upper assembly to move about a pivot point. The upper assembly further contains a locking assembly which is interconnected between the lower assembly, the intermediate assembly and the upper assembly so that the lower, intermediate and upper assemblies may be locked relative to each other in a selected position when the locking assembly is placed and retained in a first position and permitted to move when said locking assembly is placed and retained in a second position.Type: GrantFiled: March 14, 2007Date of Patent: October 19, 2010Assignee: Douglas Autotech CorporationInventors: Robert Demmon, David Gruza
