  • Patent number: 4864442
Abstract: In magnetic read/write apparatus having a media hub (2) made of magnetic material provided with a magnetic disk (1) and a package so as to cover the magnetic disk with a shell, to position the media hub (2) in the axial direction is performed by attaching an end of a spindle hub (17) to a media hub (2), and to position the media hub in the radial direction is performed by attaching the inner side of a center core (4) integrally formed with the media hub (2) to the periphery of the spindle hub (17). Furthermore, a driving pin (21) for contacting the media hub (2) with the spindle hub (17) is provided at the end of the media hub (2) and in the inner side of the center core (4), thereby, making it possible to provide a small-sized spindle hub and an excellent head contact.

  • Patent number: 4826332
Abstract: A printer with a main body having a printing head, motors, a plurality of circuits driving the printing head and the motors, a processor and a random access memory. The printer also includes a cartridge for containing memory devices for storing the data for at least one character font set and for storing the printing operation control program. A connector removably connects the cartridge mechanically and electrically to the main body of the printer. As a result, the print operation control program and character font set data can be selectively set by connecting an appropriate cartridge to the main body of the printer.

  • Patent number: 4768045
Abstract: An ink droplet detecting apparatus for use in conjunction with an ink-on-demand jet printer having a nozzle is provided. A first electrode is disposed at a predetermined position spaced from and facing the nozzle. A second electrode is positioned so that an ink droplet following a correct path will reach the first electrode and change the impedance value between the first and second electrodes. This change in impedance is detected and used in determining the presence of correct ink droplet path. The second electrode may be either positioned facing the nozzle in spaced adjacent relation to the first electrode or within the ink path upstream of the nozzle.
