  • Patent number: 7549587
Abstract: A method and system for scanning objects using a scan engine having two modes are described. Under a first mode, the scan engine generates modulated pulses for determining the existence of objects containing symbols such as barcode and a scanning mirror is kept stationary. When it is determined that a triggering event should occur or the symbols exit, the scan engine is switched to a second mode in which light is continuously generated by a light source and used with the scanning mirror oscillating for standard scanning.

  • Patent number: 7526130
Abstract: A method for processing a digital signal obtained in a barcode reading operation comprises a step of applying a wavelet transformation to the digital signal. The noise threshold at each level of the wavelet transformation is determined from a total transfer function in the analogue processing stage, and the coefficients are set to be zero if less than the noise threshold.

  • Patent number: 7515070
Abstract: A method is disclosed for checking model planes entering into a dive, as well as an anti-dive method and apparatus. The method of checking planes includes installation of a first optical sensor in the upper part of the plane, with installation angle upwardly intersecting with the front of the plane at ? degrees, that checks light intensity and outputs a first checked optical signal; installation of a second optical sensor in the bottom part of the plane, with its installation angle downwardly intersecting with the back of the plane at ? degrees, which checks light intensity and outputs a second checked optical signal. A comparison is made between the first and second checked optical signals, and when the difference in light intensity is smaller than a threshold, a warning signal is sent out indicating that the plane has entered into a dive.

  • Patent number: 7502458
Abstract: In some embodiments, the present invention provides a distributed monitoring, evaluation and routing (“DiMER”) system capable of active management of data network-based telephony. Such a system, and data network-based telephony incorporating the same, advantageously routes calls to meet call quality standards, connection speed and/or cost goals, among other targets. To meet such quality standards, the system incorporates preferences with periodically obtained call-related data and analysis, and revises call routing, as appropriate, by shifting or reallocating call traffic between available terminating gateways (based on their performance and caller preferences).

  • Patent number: 7446227
Abstract: A process for preparation of protriptyline hydrochloride from 5-dihydrobenzocycloheptatriene of formula (1) by coupling with chloropropyl alcohol in the presence of excess n-butyl Lithium in tetrahydrofuran under inert atmosphere, followed by preparation of mesylate derivative of formula (3) and finally the nucleophilic displacement of the mesylate group by reacting methylamine solution in methanol to give protriptyline free base of the formula (4). Also the present process reveals the hydrochloride salt formation and purification of the same to give pure pharmaceutical grade protriptyline hydrochloride with impurities less than 0.1% w/w.

  • Patent number: 7420721
Abstract: An improved oscillation scan mirror assembly comprises a shaft, a holder having a bearing with a bearing surface supporting the holder on the shaft, a scan mirror secured to the holder. The holder and therefore the mirror are oscillatable around the shaft under an oscillating driving force, and bearing and the shaft is prevented from being tilt from each other. Preferably, a lateral retaining force is provided to constantly keep the bearing and the shaft in an aligned contact with each other. Since the relative tilting between bearing and the shaft is prevented, the vertical wobble or vibration of bearing, and therefore of the holder and the mirror, relative to the shaft is therefore suppressed.
