Abstract: A method of cast molding an intraocular implant from two or more dissimilar materials using disposable molds. The subject cast molding method is particularly useful in the production of intraocular lenses manufactured from dissimilar materials. It is desirable to produce intraocular lenses from dissimilar materials in order to optimize the optical characteristics of the intraocular lens optic portion and to optimize stability and flexibility characteristics of the intraocular lens haptic elements.
