Abstract: A weight efficient spaced armor system that utilizes three-sided armor elements also includes a method of adaptive concealment to provide a reduced detection signature for combat vehicles, ships, or other military structures. The tri-bar elements are rotated to three positions, each of the three positions exposing a different outer surface so that three different signature management treatments can be exposed. The structure of the tri-bar elements provides an inherent standoff from the hull, thereby increasing the armor effectiveness.

Abstract: This invention relates to a circuit board mounting apparatus with inverted U-shaped mounting arms for mounting a circuit board. The circuit board mounting apparatus comprises a base for loading the circuit board above it, two front end latching mechanisms installed on the base for removably and horizontally latching the front end of the circuit board, a supporting mechanism installed on the base for supporting the approximately center portion of the circuit board upward, and at least one inverted U-shaped mounting arm installed on the base having one open end facing downward. The open end of the mounting arm comprises an engaging means for engaging the rear end of the circuit board to prevent it from moving upward.

Abstract: A pull handle assembly of a wheeled suitcase which can prevent its lower end from wobbling is disclosed in the present invention. The pull handle assembly comprises one elongated tube mounted in the suitcase having a rectangular channel in it and a pull handle telescopingly received within the channel of the tube. The pull handle comprises an elongated rod member having an upper end and a lower end, a gripping handle installed on the upper end of the rod member for hand gripping, and a rectangular rod guide installed on the lower end of the rod member for guiding the pull handle within the channel. The pull handle assembly further comprises a rod detention means installed under the upper opening of the channel for holding the rod guide of the pull handle to the channel, and three flaps installed on three sides of the rectangular channel next to the rod detention means for restricting the rod guide from wobbling laterally within the channel when the rod guide is being held by the rod detention means.

Abstract: A digital filtering system for filtering a first and a second digital signals inputted from a FSK (frequency-shift-keying) demodulator to generate a first and a second filtered digital signals. The FSK demodulator is used for demodulating a four level FSK signal into the first and second digital signals.

Abstract: A method for synchronizing scanning speed and data transmission speed of a scanner to eliminate a traditional memory buffer is disclosed. The scanner is connected to a host computer and comprises a charge coupled device (CCD) for converting a line image reflected from a document to be scanned into an array of analog signals. The CCD comprises an analog memory array for storing the analog signals. The method comprises the following steps of:a) outputting an analog signal from the analog memory array;b) converting the analog signal to a digital signal and transmitting the digital signal to the host computer;c) waiting until the host computer acknowledges receiving of the digital signal; andd) repeating steps a) to c) until all the analog signals stored in the analog memory array are processed and transmitted to the host computer.

Abstract: A testing wristlet seat using an oscillation circuit to test a test lead which is grounded to discharge the static electricity produced in the manufacturing procedure. In case the test lead is broken or poorly grounded, the grounding condition will no more exist. At this time, the oscillation circuit oscillates and generates a frequency to make an inner buzzer emit warning sound to inform the user of the breakage of the circuit. An LCD display screen is disposed on the wristlet seat for displaying time in normal condition. In case a failure takes place, the display screen displays a fail signal for the user.

Abstract: A hanger clip adapted specifically for the dry cleaning industry. The device includes an elongated main body. At each end of the main body are a pair of hanger securing means. The hanger securing means are adapted to clip around the throat portion of a hanger. The hanger clip is inserted into the group of hangers through the open area of the hangers, and is moved upward to the throat of the hanger until the clips are secured on the throats of two terminal hangers in the desired group. The clip also includes a scanner identifiable tag.

Abstract: A circular rack for caps. The rack comprises multiple rotatable cap fixtures. The fixtures each hold a plurality of caps for storage and/or display. The fixtures rotate about a central support pole. The fixtures may be adapted so that a double layer of caps can be held, that is, a first layer of caps oriented right side up, and a second layer of caps oriented upside down. In addition, a lamp or a decorative item, such as a sports trophy or a piece of sporting equipment, may be affixed at the top of the central support pole.

Abstract: An internal frame for supporting a wheeled suitcase comprises a base, a U-shaped frame mounted on top of the base and a modular central frame comprising an L-shaped head set having an L-shaped brace and all extension board connected to the front end of the L-shaped brace, two rectangular tubes slidably connected to the lower end of the L-shaped brace, and two sockets connected to the lower ends of the two rectangular tubes. The upper end of the central frame is mounted to the top panel of the U-shaped frame and the lower end of the central frame is mounted to the rear end of the base so that the structure of the internal frame is greatly strengthened by the central frame. The modular central frame design not only can strengthen the structure of a wheeled suitcase, but is also flexible for change.

Abstract: A handle extension for an air powered tool. The extension has been designed for use with a nail gun, but the mechanism is suitable for any air powered hand tool. The device includes a jointed, tubular extension that is affixed to the tool. The device further includes a trigger mechanism that controls the operation of the tool, and a grip to allow the user to more easily support the weight of the tool.

Abstract: A hand-held gravity feed spray bottle. The liquid reservoir which supplies the spray mechanism is situated so that it is above the spray and pump mechanism when held by a user. The reservoir is affixed so that its longitudinal axis is at an angle to that of the spray mechanism. The pump mechanism is a standard hand pump with a plunger reciprocating in a chamber. The reservoir includes a liquid feed tube and a pressure equalization tube. One-way check valves in each of these tubes ensures that there is no leakage from the reservoir.

Abstract: An automatic tracking mobile platform that works logically and practically. The process of making it is simple and cost efficient. An emitter is carried by the user; this emitter transmits various electromagnetic signals including infrared, visible light, laser, or ultraviolet. The platform has electromagnetic sensors connected to its front wheel which synchronously turn with it, and these three sensors are separated by panels. The panels block one sensor from the others so that only one sensor can respond to the transmitter at any one time to turn the platform left or right. An electrical motor and a mechanical steering wheel are connected to the front wheel, which drives the mobile platform. The receiver is set to screen electromagnetic signals from the transmitter so the platform can turn to the left, turn to the right, start, or stop to accomplish its automatic tracking purpose.

Abstract: A ball including a core element with multiple loops extending from its exterior surface. The core element includes receiving apertures that receive loop elements. The loop elements extend outward from the core of the ball, permitting a user to catch the ball simply by allowing one or more of the loops to pass over his finger(s).

Abstract: An ionized airflow manifold for static reduction. The manifold may be installed in a stand-alone frame, or attached to any processing machine. The manifold includes a commercially available gas ionizer that provides an ionized air supply, and creates an air curtain around a target area.

Abstract: A process by which a package for a memory card is manufactured. The package comprises chiefly two stamped steel covers, (an upper and a lower cover half), each secured to a plastic frame element. The cover halves are secured by extended fingers which wrap around the plastic frame. This provides a double layer of metal at the perimeter of the frame. The two cover halves are situated so as to encapsulate the subject PCB and to affix it in its proper position. The two cover halves are then welded together using sonic welding on the plastic frame. The package has been designed to meet all PCMCIA standards, including polarizing keys and grounding points.

Abstract: A parking space holder including a plurality of telescoping sections that can be locked in an upright, extended position to block an entrance to a parking area or space. When unlocked, the space holder can be collapsed to a position generally flush with the parking surface to allow passage of a car. The user may use any number of the devices to designate a parking area.

Abstract: An undergarment for people who have an overhanging upper abdomen, a fat apron, which when wearing ordinary undergarments would rub against the lower abdomen. The undergarment includes a pouch in the upper abdomen area to contain the fat apron, thereby eliminating any skin-to-skin rubbing. The pouch is formed by adding a panel to the ordinary construction of the undergarment. The pouch and crotch of the garment is lined to absorb perspiration and increase comfort for the user. The leg openings can be made adjustable in size by including fasteners on the leg. The fasteners can be of any easily adjusted construction, such as typical hook-and-eye fasteners like Velcro.

Abstract: A quick-release device for a kayak spray skirt. A first end of the device includes a grip loop releasably secured to the exterior of the hull of the kayak. A release strap runs over the cowling, under the spray skirt, and into the interior of the kayak. The second end of the release strap is then affixed to the underside of the hull, in the interior of the kayak. When a user pulls on the grip loop, it separates from the hull, and the release strap is pulled up. The release strap in turn pulls the spray skirt off the cowling, thereby enabling the user to exit the kayak.

Abstract: A lap tray that is folded from a corrugated cardboard blank. The tray portion can be permanently bonded in place after it has been folded from the blank. The tray has a central support means, which the user can grip with his legs. The tray's upper surface includes a receptacle for a drink container, and perimeter boundaries so that objects cannot easily slide off of the tray. The tray can be folded flat for easy storage and transport.
