  • Patent number: 7452240
Abstract: A fuse block which provides for holding a plurality of fuses in parallel in order to reduce fuse block size and to maximize the surface area of electrical contact in order to reduce electrical resistance in the electrical contact. The block holds the fuse electrical contacts clamped in trapezoidal cavities in terminals. A fuse block, comprising a first multi-fuse coupler to electrically and mechanically couple with one first electrical contact of each of a plurality of fuses, in a first single tightening operation; a second multi-fuse coupler to electrically and mechanically couple with one second electrical contact of each of such plurality of fuses, in a second single tightening operation; and a base sized, shaped, and arranged to maintain said a first multi-fuse coupler and said a second multi-fuse coupler in opposing, aligned, and spaced-apart relationship.

  • Patent number: 7433485
Abstract: A novel shallow speaker has a novel spidercone coaxial with and optionally having a radially inner spidercone flange suspended in a circumferential adhesive well affixed to the former. An inner rearward flange of the flat annular diaphragm is suspended in the circumferential adhesive well and the well is filled with epoxy. The spidercone has a frustroconical portion having a minimum radius smaller than the maximum magnet assembly radius and a maximum radius greater than the maximum magnet assembly radius. The spidercone has a spider portion integral with the larger end of the frustroconical portion and attachable to the basket by a tangential flange. The tinsel is interwoven with the spidercone in a way that reduces the risk of breaking and shorting. The diaphragm is substantially flat and coplanar with the top edge of the narrow surround when at rest.

  • Patent number: 7411308
Abstract: Rapidly responsive energy storage means enable the creation of a multi-port DC bus in a UPS, enabling the multi-port DC bus to couple a plurality of intermittent DC sources and intermittent DC loads. The invention includes renewable energy power systems with a UPS having a multi-port DC bus and a responsive energy storage means electrically coupled to the multi-port DC bus. An embodiment includes a renewable energy power system with a UPS having a multi-port DC bus having at least one coupling in addition to the minimum of three required for a UPS to operate. The additional coupling is adapted to couple either a DC load or a DC source to the multi-port DC bus. A responsive energy storage means is coupled to supply power to the multi-port DC bus and is operable to maintain a substantially constant power level on the multi-port DC bus.

  • Patent number: 7353943
Abstract: Pool cue case systems are disclosed which include at least one re-closable enclosure which is operable to be coupled, preferably releasably coupled, to the exterior of a pool cue case or the like, and which has an integral support coupling adapted to receive supports used for supporting the case in a nearly vertical position for use, for example, as a pool cue rack for assembled pool cues. Various re-closable enclosures are disclosed which enable convenient deployment of support legs while providing protection for the supports when stowed for transport.

  • Patent number: 7275620
Abstract: A square speaker is disclosed having a novel surround with a novel rounded corner design and with a magnet assembly and former sized, shaped, and arranged to exploit the increased excursions enabled by the novel surround. The arcuate portion of the rounded corner features smoothed trapezoidal circumferential undulations of the radially outer portion and an extension pad forms the arcuate portion of the radially inner portion of the rounded corner. An apex groove separates the inner portion from the outer portion. Tapered protrusions of the outer portion flank the smoothed trapezoidal circumferential undulations. The rounded corner is bounded by edges making angles of between 20 degrees and 40 degrees (preferably about 35 degrees) with straight sides of the square surround. Most of the outer perimeter of the entire inner flange adjoins the inner portions of the rounded corners. Significant increases in volume displacement per speaker size are achieved.

  • Patent number: 6502234
Abstract: The preferred embodiment of the present invention an object oriented wizard creation mechanism provides an environment and set of facilities for creating and modifying wizards. The preferred embodiment wizard creation mechanism provides a WizardWizard mechanism for creating the skeleton of new wizard, a WizardDesigner mechanism for specializing and WizardMetaDataManager mechanism for persisting and retrieving created wizards. The WizardWizard guides the developer through a predetermined series of steps that are required to define a the basic components of a new wizard. The WizardDesigner takes these basic components and guides the developer through a specialization process that further customizes and defines the new wizard. In the preferred embodiment, the WizardWizard and the WizardDesigner create and specialize the target wizard from a component based Wizard framework.
